  • Sue-sounds like your starting your day off great. I have yet to drink anything or eat anything. My SIL took our kids last night so I slept in this morning. I hardly ever get to do that.

I can't remember the amount of water your supposed to drink either. I think mine was around 100 oz. a day...but I'll check on that one.

Why is it everyone is always doing LAUNDRY!?!?! That's the housework load around here usually too. When you have 5 people dirtying up clothes, there is always laundry to do.

Sorry for not getting personal with everyone. I have to tidy up the house a bit, finish my homework, make a bank deposit for hubby's business, go to the post office, visit walmart, and go to the gym. Not much, huh? BUt first, I must play a game of literati....on yahoo.

    Check back later.

  • Alisha, C25K was hurting my bad hip. My thighs weigh so much that I can only get 1 mile jogged before it seizes up. I just never got back into it after the holidays. I need to though. I was hoping I'd get more weight down, but I've really stalled.

I'm going to resolve to get back to jogging, and start walking. I need to get my heart rate up more often.
  • I did 1 1/2 hours at the gym today and drank all my water....

I didn't do so good with eating, but I think it balanced out with my workout. How did everyone else do today? My weight hasn't changed from last week, because I haven't really gotten to exercise that much this week. I'll be going Mon, Wed, and Fri, and Sun next week, even if my sister decides not to go.

Check back with you later. I have to finish my Accounting homework so I can get it turned in.

  • Ok - I plan to drink 100 oz of water!! I took my weight ( 200 ) & divided it by 2. Well, I actually think I weigh less than that. I forgot to weigh before eating breakfast, so I will weigh tomorrow and see! I worked out at Curves 5x this week! I think I also did 80 minutes total on the bike also! My plan for this week: drink 100 oz of water a day
    Curves 5x a week
    Billy's boot camp 3x a week
no snacking after 7:30 at night

Congrats to those of you who have lost or stayed the same!

Julie - Hope you are careful starting back up! Take care of your body!

Amanda - Ok, I am scared to try the boot camp!! But I will! I like your idea of posting workouts!

Cindy - I am so glad your are done w/ the kitchen! How's the rest coming along? Are you unpacked & settled in?

Alisha - Hope you are feeling better!

Fit - I hope you can return to Curves. I really enjot it and I can already tell a difference in some of my clothes. C'mon, you can lose it!! We are here for you. Your breakfast sounded very yummy and healthy. Lean protein might curb your eating habits. I've found that 4-5 almonds do the trick!

    Well, better go -

  • Let me just say - OUCH!!! I think I burned more calories from laughing at myself trying TaeBo than the actual workout!! I am so uncoordinated. It was very hard but I think I did 10 or 15 minutes!!!

  • Cara: bootcamp is HARD, LOL...I did manage to do the whole "basic training" workout, except for some of the ab exercises...I couldnt do them right because my big belly gets in the way and makes it hard for me to sit in some of the positions for the exercises, lol. I can actually move a little today, LOL. Every major muscle group in my body hurts, except my butt, Tomorrow I will be doing the workout, but I am going to skip the bands on some of the arm exercises...I am SOOO out of shape

Yesterday I did 40 minutes w/ my Kathy Smith video and I didnt drink all my water

Today is my restday so No exercise, but i will be doing lots of housework...especially laundry, I was too sore and stiff to walk down the basement stairs yesterday, lol, how bad is that?!

Chris: congrats on the workout and getting the water in!

well, I'd better go get started on that laundry. i'll check in later if DH can stay off the computer for a while
  • Hi everone, I haven't checked in this week been busy with daughters b-day party. I don't know how to adjust the weight tracker but weighed myself a week ago and lost 3.5 lbs. Yippee!!!!!! I did good at daughters b-day and skipped the cake and ice cream. I didn't drink all my water today but did workout this morning. hope everyone is doing good trying to reach their goals.ITs more difficult to go down the straight and narrow road than the wide one.Keep up the good work. Anyone know of any good workout videos that the moves are not that complicated? I feel like everytime I get a video the moves are so fast and difficult that I end up doing it wrong. any input would be appreciated. Thanks, DANIELLE
  • Good morning Ladies. I am exhausted...Christian woke up 3 times last night w/ a nosebleed, then Haleigh wet her bed. Needless to say I didnt rest well. Do any of you have any Idea what would cause Christians nose to start bleeding while he's asleep? This happened a few weeks ago, and it is always his left nostril that bleeds. I dont know what is going on...

    My goals for today:
    1. Workout: Billy's Boot camp Basic Training 55min
    2. Drink 64oz water

    Menu:
    Breakfast-Slim Fast Optima Shake
    Lunch- ?
Dinner- Rice a roni original longrain & wild rice w/ ground beef
1cup Mixed veggies, and 2 slices bread w/fat free butter spray

Danielle, I am not coordinated at all, lol. So I have found that Kathy Smith's Timesaver Cardio Fat Burn has really worked well for me. It consists of 2 20minute workouts and a cooldown stretch segment. The moves are easy to master and you will really get your heart pumping. I purchased my copy from overstock for about $7 + shipping. The best part is that she goes over each move slowly so you know exactly how to do it. This is the only one of her workouts I have attempted so I don't know if her other workouts are as easy to follow, but she does have a good style.

Well, I gotta get off here and get Christian ready for school. I'll check in later

OH, Danielle, to change your ticker, go in to edit your signature, then change the middle # in the html for your ticker.
  • Hello ladies!

I have started using FitDay again today, woo hoo! I feel like I'm taking control again, and getting excited and motivated. We finally organized the garage, it's always the last room in the house to get organized after moving! And now the Bowflex is accessible so I'm going to start using it again today. The Sir is trying hard to become a one-nap-only boy, so I'll have to adjust my old workout schedule. I can incorporate him into my cardio workout (walking through our very hilly neighborhood at a brisk pace for 45 minutes), but of course it's raining today. And our treadmill is folded up and not very accessible. Oh, I'm so good at coming up with exercise excuses!

Cara: Ha-Ha! I haven't tried the bootcamp, but I have some of the older Taebo tapes. Yes, they're very tough! I'm extremely uncoordinated when it comes to any aerobics, though. I even have problems with Richard Simmons tapes!

And Danielle, on the same note, don't worry about not getting all the moves right in the tapes. I can't do any of them, but just plain moving and jumping around is great exercise.

Amanda: My stepson used to always have nosebleeds, and so did his dad (my hubby). Hubby finally got some sort of nose cauterization when he was younger and that stopped it. But if Christian is just recently getting them, the first thing I would check out is the humidity in his room. Your nose tissues can really dry out in the wintertime when it's dry in the house, and this can cause nosebleeds. Maybe run a humidifier in his room when he sleeps.

Julie: Sorry to hear your hips are giving you trouble. But maybe just walking for awhile will get you conditioned as well as taking off a few more pounds to save your hip. I know what you mean, though. I used to jog, years ago, and the thought of trying it now is laughable at least for me. I would love to start again, though, and will do so when I get below 175. It's really amazing to me, though, how much I've lost just through walking.

Okay, all, have a wonderful day. Talk to you later!

  • Good Morning Ladies!
Good Morning Ladies, how is everyone doing today? Good i hope. I am slowly starting to feel better, my cold is almost gone, just a little bit of a runny nose.

Cara: Good job on doing some of the Taebo tape!! Stick with it, before you know it you will be able to do it all.

Amanda: I know what you mean about the ab workout, i can do them, its just i am out of shape so i have to keep taking breaks. Same with the arm workouts, because you do so many, unlike what Billy says about just work through it, i have to stop.

Danielle: As long as you keep trying you will get better trust me!! Just stick with it, and don't give up if you go the opposite way of the video, just do your best. Do something is better than doing nothing at all, right!! Keep it up!!

Julie: Good luck on getting back into C25K. I dont' know why i can't stick with it, i guess for me its hard, because i have to go down to the Gym at my apartment and run on the Treadmill and finding the time is hard, you know?

Cynthia: How are you doing? Did you do Taebo yet? And what about your hubby did he do it with you? Thats great that he would do it with you!!

Chris: Are you taking accounting courses? My hubby just started college and he is going to get his Bachelors in accounting...hopefully it is big money in our future!! Good luck!

Well ladies, my goals for today are:
    Excercise: Taebo
Water Intake: 128oz (so far 32oz and still going)
Food: Don't eat anything bad......**keeping fingers crossed**

Well i am going to jump off here i will chat with you all real soon, have a GREAT day!!

    Alisha
  • Alisha - Hope you are better soon!

Amanda - I second the humidity factor, my brother would get nosebleeds all the time in the winter until my mom got him a humidifer.

Danielle - YEAH!!! 3.5 gone! Good for you!

Cindy - I amso happy you & the sir have your walks back!! I can't wait to walk again! Although, I will have to do it w/o my lovely children as they no longer can sit still for more than 5 minutes. Oh well, I am lucky to have those 5 minutes I guess!! I'm back on the bowflex as of today! Let's do it!!!

Chris - Good for you for deciding to go even if your sis doesn't. That is commitment!

Hi to all I've missed!!! I did Curves 5x last week and started out again today! So I met that goal. I am not getting all of water in so, today that's my goal. No cofffee this week if I can't meet it!!! I better go!!!

p.s. I don't know about ya'll, but something has clicked for me this year.
  • Good afternoon ladies, My day so far has gone well, although I didnt have my slimfast this morning, and well, I actually skipped breakfast all togther (bad, I know) but for lunch I had a lean cuisine meal (280 cals) and a glass of semi sweet tea (just enough sugar so that the tea isnt bitter) I did the bootcamp workout, although I didnt use the bands for most of the arm exercises (I did like 2 sets of each w/ the bands then the last 2 w/out them), and had to take frequent breaks during the ab portion of the video. I did find most of the workout a little easier this time around, though. but the ab workout is killer, lol. But i know I will appreciate it after i melt all this fat away, and there are nice toned muscles where a flabby stomach used to be I have also had 17oz of water so far today.

Cindy: You know, it probably is the humidity level, I know my nose is dry in the mornings, lol. unfortunately I dont have a humidifier though, so I guess I'll get him some saline nose spray to keep everything moist...My poor baby, the sight of blood terrifies him, especially if it's his own.

Alisha: I think Billy forgets that their are overweight, out of shape people out there trying to accomplish the moves on his tapes, LOL. I have to get a mat for the floor work though, hardwood floors are NOT kind to the backside when you're sitting up w/ both legs pulled up off the ground, LOL. can i say OUCH!
Hubby was laughing at me cause I was so sore, I told him that I DARED him to try the video this weekend when he's off again, LOL...That should be good for a laugh, when HE is too sore and stiff to move!

Anywho, I have to get off here and get some housework done before I get too sore, lol. Hope you all have a great day
  • Just poppin in to day hi. Haven't had much time to post lately...school work is taking alot of time. YIKES!

I'm on my way out the door in a few minutes to work out. I'm gonna go by myself. I just want to walk on the treadmill and do my weights without having to chat with anyone. Get a little "ME" time in.

    I'll check back later.

    ~chris
  • Carafre: Wow, Curves 5x? That's excellent! You are on a roll! Did you do your Bowflex today like you said you would? I did, and I can already tell I'll be sore tomorrow! I couldn't even get close to the amount of weight I was lifting before my extended break. But I'm glad I did it, and I'm looking forward to doing legs tomorrow. No more rain, either, so we'll be out and about in our neighborhood. I agree with you, it's finally clicked again and I'm excited!

Alisha: No, I didn't do Taebo this weekend as planned. But I will try for next Saturday. I know it will kick my butt, like it has for everyone else here who's doing it! How did you do for water today?

Hi to Amanda, Julie, Chris, Danielle, everyone else! Hope you're all doing well today.

After my first full day using FitDay, it didn't turn out as bad as expected. About 1900 calories, definitely less than I expected! But more than I needed. Does anyone know a range we should be in for Fat Grams and for Carbohydrates? I'm sure there's a general range, but I have absolutely no clue how many is normal or too much or whatever!

    See ya tomorrow! Cindy B
  • Cindy - I didn't get on the bowflex But I am headed directly to accomplish abs dvd (billy). I hope to get back w/ b.flex tomorrow. I have Curves in the am so, hopefully when the urchins attempt a nap, I will tone.
