Commercial I did love was the one with the guys where they would do all the things their wives/women asked them to do- I will shave everyday and rinse out the sink, I will put my socks in the laundry, etc., etc. just so that I can drive ?? car. really funny. Man oh Man are the WHO ever getting ancient - lots of hits but they were sure having trouble sounding great last night.
It was from a song/chant started in the early Saints years.....this said/sung with a Cajun accent, "Who dat say dey gon' beat dem Saints?, Who dat?,.. Who dat?" If you've ever been to New Orleans, you know the accent can sound almost like Brooklynese with the dems, dese, and dose. Both my parents were born and raised in Louisiana, as were their parents. I often heard my Grandmother, or "Maman" as she was called, answer the phone with "whodat?".(LOL) There've been a lot of songs since then, including the official N.O. Saints song recorded by, I think Aaron Neville and a jazz band. It's a recording of "When the Saints go marching in", but in the middle, there's a call and response section with "who dat.....whatever the response was". It's like an official cheer.
