Anybody still coming here? I need some prayers-I finally felt that everything was turning around today-I did a one hour workout felt great and then nearly electocuted myself at work tonight (luckily I only burned my leg) however now it hurts to walk. I haven't been to the forum in awhile, but felt the need to do so, and now I see that the Lord wanted me to pray for you...I read your message and I praise God that you were not electrocuted. Also, I am praying for your leg to be healed quickly. What happened?
I am trying to do better about the Lord's Table. I am so rushed during the day at school, that I don't even have time to do it at lunch...maybe I need to MAKE time and focus on what is eternal.

I think I am on day 32 or 33. I plan to do one each day while we are off for the holiday weekend.

Thanks for the prayers Liz. I was very lucky-at work alone vacuuming and did not realize the vacuum had exposed wires in a worn spot. When I pulled the vacuum back towards me it bumped my knee and burned my leg with a lovely flash of light-luckily I was wearing shorts and only my leg got hurt. I have also been lucky that it seems to be healing fine and really I was able to exercise almost the very next day.
I need to work on visiting the Lord's table daily. I have not been recently and over the summer I have been on holiday all summer it seems not finding time to do the really important things for me! Anyway thanks again for the prayers and hopefully we'll be able to get back into the routine of doing TLT.

Sounds like the theme of this board is "Is anyone still here?" lol

As for me, I went on vacation in July and pretty much got off the Lord's Table bandwagon entirely. Gained back the six pounds I'd lost, plus four more. I've had an awful time of things lately, and I think it's just God making me sick of my sin so that I will return to Him and His way of eating and caring for the body he gave me.

So I am giving it another try, and just wondered if anyone else was still hanging in there? (Or trying to restart, like me?)

HI Kari-I still check here regularly watching for people's posts but I admit I too have taken a vacation from TLT and am thinking it is really time to finish the 60 days-I really don't want to start over a third time. I am ready I feel to focus better now that I have a regular schedule and am getting into an exercise routine. Maybe some others are in the same boat???

I, too, have semi-fallen off the wagon, too. I am getting my lessons done about every three days...I know I need to make time, but everything in my work world is so busy now. Let's all pray for one another.

I did a lesson Sunday (#40) and am going to do one after I post. Keep in touch everyone! We can do this! I think for me the routine of getting to church every week and doing my weekly Ladies Bible Study is going to help keep me on track. I agree we should pray for each other.

I have a question .... does any of you feel like your being mentored by your assigned mentor?

I kind of felt mentored, but I think most of the replies I got sounded like they were scripted instead of written individually.

I didn't do lessons for two months. Now that I've been back, though, I've not heard from my mentor again even though I've submitted stuff to her.

Not sure what to think about that.

I love this SCF study , but my mentor who does not know me and I don't know her , at times I have felt that my Christian walk has been attacked by her. I have contacted SCF to see if I can get a diffrent mentor because I don't feel like mine is mentoring in her responses and they said that we really don't do that but if there was anything they could do for me I can explain the stituation to them and they would see if it could be worked out. I haven't done the study in the past week because of this. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had any problems or good notes on their mentor. Thanks for listening.

Sounds to me as if we all have the same mentor. I know I haven't found mine to be teribly inspiring. I would like some real feedback not my anwers highlighted and repeated with an answer that alot of times feels like she didn't even read my responses. I am taking it all with a grain of salt myself and letting the Lord work through me as he sees fit. I have actually put on a few pounds and am struggling mostly with motivation. I know I can do this-I have before but I need a kick start and some real support-like the support that is offered here.

Tracy do you have an accountability partner? I have one and she is my bestfriend and we have mentored each other in this and if it wasn't for her I would have quit a while ago.

No I don't have one right now. The people I have asked in the past always allow me to make excuses and it has never gone well. I also don't have a lot of really close friends and in fact my mentor offered but the times when I feel I need someone to chat to or call she wasn't available and it always seems no one else is either. I know it will work itself out I just have to be stronger. Thanks for the advice though! Congrats on losing the weight that's awesome!

Thanks Tracy ... I didn't lose that weight on SCF , I lost that last year .... I did it through Prayer first and foremost, calorie counting and exercising everyday. I also Thanked GOd for my food and asked Him to make it enough, I realized that this Temple we call a body was a wreck and I didn't want to be a wreck serving the Lord , I still have 50 pounds to lose , I haven't gained but 5 pounds and then that has fluctuated by losing 3 pounds . I know that I know I will take the rest of the weight off . Last year I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis , so ithas slowed my excercise down way down and that really helps with weight loss, anyway , I know you can do it!! keep on keepin on!
