  • Way to go, Leaves, Vdh2102 and 2F2J for making goal!!

I think I am retaining water from having started Insanity on Monday since my weight is at 164 as opposed to being between 161 to 162, boo! Oh well.
  • Amandie, you're doing insanity? You ARE insane. I tried doing the first insanity workout about 3 weeks ago. I literally turned it on for 5 minutes, then turned it off. There was no way! I'm sticking to my much easier Turbo Fire. haha
  • I'm so excited about the Halloween challenge! Thanks for setting it up Amandie Today I weighed in at 1.8 lbs away from my goal. I don't know that I will be able to get down nearly 2 lbs by tomorrow, but I'm hoping for another half pound down.

Congrats for all of you that made your goal! Celebratory chai for all of you (or other drinks/snacks of your choice )
  • So I just did my last weigh-in for this challenge and weighed in at 151.4 lbs. Which means I have lost a total of 13.6 lbs in this challenge!! Even though my goal was to lose 17 lbs I'm still very happy with my loss considering I wasn't really exercising at the start of the challenge.

I honestly can't believe this challenge is already over!
But I'm really looking forward to the Halloween challenge - starting at a lower weight and a longer challenge!!!! BRING IT OOOOOOOOON!
  • ROFL, 2F2J!!! Normally, I would too turn it off but I am doing it with my sister and some people have already said we won't finish it. Uhh excuse me, naysayers?? Soo we're gonna do it all the way to the end to prove them wrong! I do take a lot of breaks and walk in place when I get so tired or can't do some stuff constantly like high knees. Calves are killllling me!

Seizetheday- That'd be awesome!!! Glad you joined the Halloween challenge! A chai (latte for me) sounds really good right now!

Warrior- Way to go on your progress!! Happy you're in the Halloween challenge too! Let's dooooo it!!!
  • Thanks so much for doing this challenge Amandie! I'm excited for the Halloween one, because hopefully I'll see my final goal!

And you guys, I don't know what a chai latte is even, but I do know that I WANT ONE NOW. Sounds so good
  • HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!!

I have surpassed my goal by 4lbs!! Whoosh fairy paid me a visit! I was hoping it would stick around long enough to log it here

See you all in the next challenge!!

  • Whether you made goal or not Congratulations!!! Everyone has done so well with this challenge. Have a Happy 4th of July!
  • Yay!!!!!! Congratulations to ALLLLL of you!!!!!! The fact you stuck with this challenge is just an AWESOME VICTORY in itself!!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!! Be safe if playing with fireworks, please!

See ya at the next challenge!
  • Hiya ladies,

I can't believe it is the end of this challenge already! Happy 4th of July to Americans, and happy late Canadian day to others....and just Happy day to people anywhere else, lol.

2fat2jump--I completely understand where you are coming from. We are having a huge culdesac BBQ today and going camping all next week. Temptations galore. I think I might plan on maintaining for a week or two.

ange82much -- yay for your collar bone!!

Thinknthin, vdh2102 and 2fat2jump -- You made goal, congrats! Awesome

Amandie -- Insanity is insane. You probably are retaining water. I am trying to get up the bravery to attempt that, lol.

Warrior and Seize the day -- you both did great! Congrats on the losses too

I think so many people did awesome! This challenge was so inspiring, I am excited for the new challenge!

As for me, I weighed in at 196 today (so used to using a 2, I just wrote 296, lol. That will take some getting used to!), so that is officially 40 pounds this challenge! Holy crap. I was only planning on getting to 210...and that was just a dream. It is so weird how not very much time can change so much! I am officially running a 5K each day now at a 6 or higher on my treadmill, and about the time this challenge started, I was struggling to run 15 minutes at a 5. I was so proud of those 15 minutes though...I never even dreamed of a 5K in 30 minutes! Thanks again Amandie for the inspiration of this challenge and the kick *** spreadsheet. See ya'll in the next challenge!

Oh yeah, and I had my celebratory blended chai yesterday. A small, and although it was good, it wasn't as delicious as I remembered. Funny how that works. I used to drink a few a week or more. And now after 3 months, a healthy fruit smoothie would've tasted just as good!

(Leaves, they are good, lol. I don't drink coffee, so they are (or were I guess) my go to drink. They come in different varieties-- spiced, vanilla, etc. The traditional India drink is full of spices, honey and milk and honestly probably isn't that bad for you, but of course I like the Americanized and fatfilled creamy vanilla kind with whip cream!)
  • Well, I bust that up. I didn't make goal by 2.2lbs but lost 35.2lbs on the challenge, so I'll take that thank you.

Couldn't catch some of you though, especially you Jessicado! And sh!t I tried!

I'm trying to do 5k a day also at 6mph+ but the knee just won't do it! So it's every other day instead with weight training in between.

But you still kicked my @rse Jessicado!

Thanks Amandie for setting this up.
  • Hey y'all- I just updated the spreadsheet with 2 pages of the total weight loss and % of weight loss. Congratulations to all of YOU that stayed throughout the challenge! No top tenners this time!
  • Nice work Amandie. Would also be interesting to see a column of %body weight lost for everyone since the start of the challenge - not that you haven't done more than enough for us already!!
  • Thanks for all your work Amandie....awesome!

And Ian, your new avatar looks great -- you can kick my butt in the next challenge
  • Thanks to Amandie for setting up this challenge. Also congrats to everyone on their losses. All the best for the next challenge everyone!!!
