  • Restaring
I am restarting my weight loss as of today after an absence of focus of about 2 months. I think I had already posted on the Easter challenge but considering the break I have taken, I would like to reconsider my Easter goal to one that is still realistic at present. So, my Easter goal will be to get out of the 240s.
  • 3/27: 191.5
    4/3: 188.5 (-3)

Well. Following this challenge has definitely led me to realize some of my body's particular weight loss patterns, which I think will really make me better able to handle future months without getting too frustrated.

TOM's on it's sloooow way out, and I ate a bunch of terrible salty food yesterday (movie theater popcorn, and lots of it. Yum! At least I only got a little butter? ) So I assume the down 0.5 per day for the last few days straight is mostly water weight clearing it's way out of here, but it's still nice to see.

I got a new bike Thursday afternoon and took it for a spin Friday morning. I went 14.5 miles in about 1.5 hours, and I didn't feel particularly tired when I got home. I then rode it to and from campus that afternoon, another 4.5 or so miles. I am really looking forward to using it to get around town more frequently so I can be more active all the time, not just when I'm at the gym.

I was thinking about going for a fun long bike ride again today, but we'll see if I make it out or not. My leg muscles are feeling fine, but. Man- my butt is SORE!
  • MADE MY GOAL . Started this challenge at 242 and weighed in yesterday at 209 gonna see how low I can go before Easter now.
  • Whooo! Congrat's Ky! So that makes 2 who have made easter goals already, I think? You and Starbrite? Keep up the amazing work!
  • Weekly weighin
    Challenge start: Jan1 = 240lb
    Last weigh in: Mar26 = 224lb
This week: Apr02= 223lb (super sucky up-and-down on the scale this week )
  • Lizz - what a helpful post! I too have lost most of my focus for most of the challenge - despite setting up the challenge. Twit.
I've been dreading seeing this thread, it was just screaming 'failure' at me, and making me cry.
Now I'm going to do what you've done and pick a 'from now' goal - and for me it's to get back into the 160s.
    THANKYOU!

And well done!!!!! to those who're still in there losing, and to those who've hit their goals - you're amazing too!
  • 4/3: 188.5
    4/10: 188.5

I was down to 187.5 a couple days ago, but the scale is back up a bit. I've been staying OP though so not worried about it. Getting lots and lots and lots of exercise though. Went for a 3 hour, 36 mile bike ride yesterday which the most conservative calorie calculator I could find estimated at ~1200 calories burned.

Two weeks to easter! I only need to drop a couple pounds to meet my technical goal, but they are being stubborn. I am feeling great though, because I have made so much off-scale progress throughout the challenge.
  • Afternoon everyone, only two more weeks until Easter and I think most everyone is hanging in there . . . I'm down 0.8 but didn't really expect a big drop this week as the past two weeks were 4.2 combined.

Kaebaka: I hear you on the sore BUTT and bike riding, I've started riding again and my butt hurts, legs a little sore . . . <sigh> it will get tougher (my butt that is)

Rosi: DON'T CRY . . . like you said: you just have to start from wherever you're at and just keep going . . . oh and I HATED THE 160's, I'm still crossing my fingers that I don't go back there

KY30: DOESN'T IT FEEL SOOOOOO GOOOD WHEN YOU HIT A GOAL !!!

Lizz: Way to jump back on the train, now just get movin' . . .

Morpho . . . Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I'm soooo jealous . . . almost to goal, you can do it!!!!

Jen: WOW, you've done REALLY WELL!!! but don't stop NOW!!!

  • I have been stuggling the last 2 and 1/2 months to get out of the 220's. I was at 220.6 on 3/19 and today I weigh 220.6. I had gained back some weight. I don't want to go through that again. I hope to be in the two teen's soon. I'm not going to reach Onderland by Easter. I just have to keep trying. Next week is Holy Week so want to go on 1200 calories a day and Friday is a fasting day. Good Luck, Everyone!

    Everyone have a great week

    Congratulations to all the losers!!!
