    So, I have a little baseball bet with a coworker. It's kind of funny because there isn't much money involved, but it's helped increase my attention to the playoffs. We take turns picking opposing teams and for each game they win, you get a dollar. In this first round, I have/had Phillies, Twins, Rangers, and Giants. (I didn't want the Giants at all, but my coworker doesn't like them any more than I do, and I got stuck...) Very difficult to cheer for the Giants.

    But, I'm up $1.00!

    No kidding, Gary. I felt really sorry for him.

    I heard on the radio that they aren't starting the next games until Saturday. Now, how smart is that? If you want people to watch, do you really put the games up against the multitudes of college football games?

    I'm for Texas, too! But, I'm going to be gone for about a week, away from the radio, TV, computer, etc, so I guess I'll find out when I get back how it all went!

    and all thru the stands
    Not a Yankee was smiling
    Not even a grin

    The bats of the Rangers
    All covered in tar
    soon would be hitting everything out of the yard

    When along came a Yankee
    dressed up in his stripes
    was swinging and missing
    cause he couldn't see strikes
