Lots of compliments today, so I felt good in my new size 14 pants and XL shirt (which is actually too big for me, even though I've got a L-size tank under it!) I have a student (she's actually kind of a problem student) who almost always mentions my weight loss, but especially if I'm wearing clothes that fit. She's said this many times, but today as I was walking around passing out papers, she said, "Mrs. _____, you are SO SMALL." I said, "No, I'm smallER than I was before." (This was kind of good, as I was teaching the comparative and superlative forms of modifiers anyway at the time!

) She looked at me and said, "NO. You are SMALL." That felt really good. I know I'm not actually "small," but it was nice to hear anyway.
