  • Life happens Ally. It's great you're getting back this week though! I'm totally with you on drinking more water. You'll get those pesky 5lbs down!

    As for me: My goal this month is to start drinking tons of water and exercising way more! I'm going on vacation mid-August and really want to rock the bikini!
  • Ally - At my last dress fitting I was strictly instructed not to gain OR lose any weight between then and my wedding. I'm not sure if you've considered this, but it may be difficult to HALT your weight loss and stay steady during that period. I didn't do that so I have no recommendations but it's just something to think about.
  • Ally- Traveling is really hard on your body...give it a few days of healthy eating and you'll be back there in no time.

    Weighed in on Saturday at 148 but dating is hard on the effort to lose weight...everyone wants to eat and drink as the main date. I'm just trying to pick healthy options everywhere I go and work out when I can.
  • I had a major NSV over the weekend!! My husband and I were staying at my parents' house for a couple days. Over the past year or so I've finally realized, no, I'm never going to live there again, and I've been trying to clear my possessions out of my old bedroom. I had left a bunch of clothes there from high school and early college that didn't fit anymore or that I got tired of. I tried on all of them and EVERYTHING fit including all the dresses I wore to dances! I'm excited because most of these clothes are business casual or dresses which is where my wardrobe is lacking right now. Unfortunately not everything is totally flattering because I didn't know what looked best of me back then and juniors clothes are not the best quality. It makes sense because I'm the same weight I was at the end of high school but I was still surprised since I thought I might be a bit flabbier.
  • 150.4 this morning, retaining water from moving some heavy things around yesterday (hopefully that's all it is!). I touched on the high-145s mid-April and want to see that again (or better) before mid-May. Fingers crossed!! My goal for May is to see 144 pounds.
  • ERHR and Ally: I got married last summer and I was in the same situation. I was told I couldn't lose or gain anything (my dress fit perfectly!). It was really hard to maintain because I wanted to lose, but couldn't and I ended up just giving up and going back to my old habits. It's hard! My heart is totally with you! Hopefully, you'll do better than me, Ally.
  • OMG I saw the 130s!!!!! Yesterday I was 141.4 lbs and today the scale said 139.2 lbs! I had an unusually-low day for carbs yesterday so that may have something to do with it.

    I hope it sticks!!!
  • I'm @ 154.2 lbs after chkin 6xs. The 1st 2 times I got 153 2nd time I got 155 the 4-6x I got 154.2 lbs so I took that as my final weight. I'm very happy with that outcome. Only a few more pounds to go to actually be in the 140s for the 1st time ever. I thought I was gonna gain weight cuz I only wrked out 2xs last wk had a small binge ep Sun and my cals haven't been perfect the past 2 days.
  • 143.2 today. I really wanted to be 140 by the end of this week since Ill be traveling out of town. Ive been introduced to IF and I have been loving it. Its really helping on the scale! Good luck ladies!

    ERHR - Yes, I was thinking that I probably shouldn't lose or gain after my fitting either. My plan is to get to 145 by 5/22 (my dress fitting) and then go in to maintenance on weightwatchers until my wedding 7/9. It probably will be hard! But I'm going to eat more and give myself a big more leeway which will prolly be good considering the wedding planning stress BUT still exercise for stress relief and toning. As soon as the wedding is over I actually want to go back to weight loss. I feel good when I'm in weight loss mode and I really want to get to my ultimate goal!

    Sweetchicagogal - You're right travelling is so hard. And the healthy options in airports suck!! Sooooo if you are saying that dating is hard on the diet... then that must be you are having lots of dates??? Eeek!! How is it going? Any good potentials yet? I think I used to suggest things for dates like rollerblading and walks. Those are fun, kinda romantic, healthy AND cheap!! Do the best you can... just be good during the day and then splurge on date night I'm happy for you.

    Weighed in yesterday at 148.8 and had my official weigh in at weight watchers. Lost .6 over the past 2 weeks for a total of 15lbs so far!! Can't believe I got my lowest weight yet after eating so bad. But it happend. Still sticking with the lots of water plan... exercise hasnt been going so great. Working looooong hours (I know I gotta stop complaining about work... I'm even sick of listening to myself!) Then this morning I weighed 149.0... not sure why but thats ok.

    Oh one other thing I decided to stop taking birth control pills... I've been on them for 10 years! I'm not trying to get pregnant... we are actually going to continue not trying for a while but I have gotten so lax about taking my pills that they werent doing much anyway and they kept making me nauseous so I just stopped taking them. I honestly thing SOME of the weight loss this week was water weight. I feel better.
  • Ally - Oh wow it didn't register for me that your last fitting and wedding are 6 weeks apart. I think my last fitting was only about a week before! So it wasn't too hard to stay the same weight for that short amount of time. Maybe you should consider having a final fitting closer to your date? Unless your seamstress is booked. I did things super last minute for our wedding though so I'm not exactly someone to emulate.
  • I hit 159.8 today, but I'm going to stay in both threads. I'm sure it will bob up & down for a week anyway So glad to see the 150s!!
  • ERHR - I have no idea what is going to happen. I'm gonna ask her to do a final fitting but we'll see!

    Weighed in at 148.6 today. I really haven't made much progress in the last month or so. Lots of bouncing between 148 up to 151 down to 148 up to 151. Hopefully this time I will continue to head in the downward direction! Hope everyone is having a great day. The sun is shining here and that makes me happy!
  • I've been avoiding 3fc because I gained 3lbs! Im up to 148.. I guess I felt like if I didn't come here and post about it, then the 3lbs isnt real? LOL. Im not sure what I was trying to accomplish by avoiding the site, but Im back.. and 3lbs heavier, ready to become accountable again.
  • Happy Friday! Just got back from traveling for work so I'm tired. On the "plus" side, however, I was so busy (working from 6 a.m. till 11 p.m.) I barely had time to eat anything, much less anything unhealthy.

    Ally- It has been a lot of first dates (in 2 weeks I think I've been on like 5 and, with work and all, it can be a bit exhausting) and one second date. It has been going well so far, whether or not I feel a "spark" with people or they with me. I am taking your advice, however, on not being too nice when I get a bad vibe from someone. Is everything else all set for the wedding? I'm sorry work is kicking your butt, I feel you.
