I think you should use the old scale, but start weighing yourself on both scales everyday for a week or two. If the weights are different but the amount of the difference is consistent, then the scales are weighing OK but just have different zero points.
In the end it doesn't matter what the number reads on the scale, it's the amount of change that's important. If the old scale seems to be giving the same amount of change as the new one, then I think you can keep using it for this challenge. But if the weights from the two scales don't seem to correlate at all, then you probably ought to adjust your challenge weight to the new scale.
