  • Hello All!

LaurieDawn: Shoot, you may be in the 160's before you read this post! Good for you! I looked for a "getting out of the 160's" thread, but didn't see one. You will have to get one started....or find an old one and resurrect it!

mynameisyes: Sounds like we are in similar situations. I was 175.9 today....but I ate salty chili for dinner.....so I believe I will skip weighing tomorrow! Good luck with your Monday weigh in!
  • Hello...

177 today. Going the wrong way. Must. Do. Better.
  • 175.6 moving in the right direction
  • Hi Everyone!

So glad to see this thread - I've been wanting to get out of the 170's for the longest time! I was down to 171 for about a minute, then had a weekend with savory foods and shot up to 175 again!

Why is it that one bad day can make us gain multiple pounds, yet it takes 3-4 healthy days to bring the weight back down??? Not. Fair!

I DO have to step up my exercise, even if it's just 30 min on the treadmill in the am or a 30 min walk outside, weather permitting. I bought some fresh chicken breasts at Kroger yesterday and cooked them so I have no excuse not to incorporate them into a meal or 2 each day.

I look forward to "meeting" you all. Happy Thursday!

    Andi
  • Hello!

I've done a bazillion steps and a big deficit on MFP with my fitbit bonus dumped in, but no movement on the scale as of yet. I'm expecting one any day! I can't figure out what's going on with my cycles as I have nothing predictable going on these days, so I'm not sure if it's sodium or hormonal fluctuations or what. LOL. I'll weigh in on Monday after my mega weekend marathon and see if there's any change.

Andi: I'll race ya to the 160's!
  • Hello All!

Scale says 177.4 this morning. Crazy odd. Ï stayed well under calories with exercise bonus so should be losing steadily. Ï ate Chinese food both days (one order split in half) so maybe it's sodium. Ï will push fluids today and reweigh tomorrow.

Andi: how is your progress? Are we racing?
  • Hi All, and Happy Monday!

April: Racing?? Well, whatever works to get our numbers going in the right direction! I'm down to what I was about a week ago, but can't understand why it takes so little time to put it on and a week to take it off! I REALLY hope to be in the 160's by the end of the week - just sounds like such a success! Your challenge is to be at 175 - do you accept??

I sent in my new (broken) fitbit in and should receive the replacement today. Hope it motivates me! I did the treadmill for 30 min before work today Living on salads, lots of lean protein and wine HAHA
  • Hello Peeps!

Andi: Challenge accepted! I will take it even further and see if I can catch you and pass you on the way to the 150's! Nothing like a little friendly competition to get my butt in gear and get focused!

To anyone else out there who may be reading this thread in passing: Jump in! We got this!

  • Hello!

175.2! I think yesterdays weight reflected delicious Twice Cooked Pork Chinese Food sodium bloat.....

Sort of wet and gloomy out, feels like spring rain. Odd weather for winter, but I'm not complaining. Gonna get sweats on here in a minute and get moving! Gotta keep those fitbit steps up!

    Have a fantastic day!
  • Hi everyone! I'm up a pound but had a good, OP day...just had a late dinner with DBF which prob showed on the scale today. My Fitbit won't come until Thursdy - I must have read the email wrong

Oh Well! I'm experimenting with Intermittent fasting...since I'm not hungry in the AM, I'm not eating until lunch and will limit my eating to an 8 hour period - such as 12 noon until 8 pm. I'll try this for a while and report back! Had a delicious lunch of broccoli and leftover beef tenderloin today and feel very satisfied!

Let's all hang in there and fight the good fight - just think how great it will feel to put on spring/summer clothes in a healthier body!!
  • Hello Chicks!

Still at 175.2. MFP keeps assuring me I'll be at 165 in 5 weeks. Don't know how that's gonna work unless it goes down suddenly in 5 pound increments!

LOL. Oh well, it's the journey, not the destination, right?
  • I am teetering here weighed in this morning at 178
  • Welcome Rose!

I'm up and down myself, although I'm really trying to stick to my low-carb plan. I had a good walking day yesterday because it was unseasonably warm here (in the 50's) but today is rainy so I'll have to find another form of exercise.

I, too would like to be 150.--it's been so long! Hang in there!!
  • Hi Rose and Andi and anyone else stopping by!

177.2 today. My own fault. I haven't logged on MFP in a week or so. I think I was disheartened because there had been little downward movement, but hey, at least I wasn't moving rapidly upward. Yesterday I was over 179 again. I don't understand these drastic fluctuations.

I am going to ponder and reflect and come up with a
Purposeful Plan (PP) and implement it Thursday. That will give me time to shop and if I have an intentional and focused reboot, I think I'll more likely be successful than I have been with my recent haphazard approach. I have been stress eating at work (donuts cookies candy) LOL! Sheesh! I hate it when I am spineless in the face of junk food....
  • Hello all and thanks for the welcome I am so happy to be in the 170's again I still have a long ways to go but I am determined to lose this weight! I have a trip planned in may me and my friends are going on an all girls trip to Miami. I don't want to be that big girl in the group and I want to be able to wear a bikini and not feel self conscious.
