  • Weight this morning was back down to 141.4! Woo hoo! Hoping for a lower weight tomorrow morning also! So close!
  • Good Morning!

I had a big woosh today and weighed in at 146.4! Hopefully it will stick, as I'm working hard at getting below 145.

  • Awesome job with the big woosh Sperrigo.

Blah...that is how I feel about my weight. I worked my butt off yesterday and burned so many calories but I dont think I ate enough calories and that is what screwed me up. Needless to say I was up to 142.2.

It's a Monday. & my body is feeling it. I didn't drink coffee this morning (thought I'd change it up) Well I definitely did. I'm so sluggish and just want to sleep. I hope everyone is having a great day today!
  • 141.6.... 1.8 lbs left. I'm hoping I'm completely done with 142.
  • Excellent Nichols! Despite your small ups and downs, you're still on a downward trend!

I had a whoosh to the 146's a couple days ago and it seems to be holding. I hope to be in the 145's this week. My cold is pretty much over and I started exercising again yesterday. It feels good to be working on getting toned again, even though my legs are sure sore today!

  • Welp clearly 142 wasn’t not done with me yet. Woke up this morning at 142.0. Guess I’ll just cry and complain and hope it eventually goes away. Must be at some sort of plateau. I’m changing up my eating tonight with some buffalo wild wings lol. Not the best for me but within my calorie range. Maybe that’ll shake things up!
  • Nichols - I hear you! I wrote down 152 so many times......I swore the scale was just having fun at my expense. Enjoy eating out.
  • New here.
I've not posted here but have been reading the posts for a week or two.

I escaped the 150s for good on 24th January. I've made a steady slow loss down to 145.4 Friday.
I think the remaining 5.4 lbs with be a hard and slow process
  • Hi Snowpup - welcome !!! That seems like a nice loss for 3 weeks. Congrats. But, yes, I have noticed a slow down as I get closer to a healthy weight as I don't want to go VLC or exercise a crazy amount. But - that's a good thing - right? If 140 is your goal - congrats! - almost there
  • 141.4 again....Day 3. Hoping tomorrow for good results...we will see! Snowpup: Yay for making it out of the 150s..the 140s seem like they are flying by for you! Hope it continues.
  • Welcome Snowpup! Congrats on the loss!!

I've been dealing with a plateau as well, so I ate more calories yesterday to get it to budge. I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me. Now that I'm over my cold, I'm focusing on strength and cardio for my exercise. I've enjoyed finding a good variety of exercise on Youtube, so hopefully I won't get bored for a long time.

My goal is long term goal is 130 I've a long way to go yet. But 140 is my next mini goal.
Sorry for my lack of knowledge but what is VLC?
  • Thanks for the welcome here from all of you.

NIcholsfamily, you haven't far to go to be out of the 140s good luck you will succeed I'm certain. I got stuck at 146.2 for six days. Then the day I dropped to 145.4 I had a bowl of porridge for my evening meal. Estimated at 200
    kcals.

Unfortunately I don't do much excersise. I've adopted counting calories and an ethos of Lifestyle change over and above a temporary weight loss diet. This is for the rest of my life. I'd love to have more time to excersise. I suppose at some point I will have to start excersising. Finding the time will be difficult as I do long hours (13 per day) running my business. Only 5 days per week though.
  • VLC = very low calorie. Depending on the business, that could be excise enough if you are walking a lot, etc. For exercise indoors, I have an elliptical and put on a youtube exercise music sound track and just rock to that for 30-45 minutes. My husband does it and watches a Netflix series. I find I cannot keep up the pace enough for good exercise if I watch TV, but if you are trying to find time and watch TV and can afford an elliptical, that might be an idea.... I also have an indoor cycle and for that I can watch TV or a youtube cycling video.
