  • Quote: On my second day and my headache is horrific. I drank some salt water, and if I have to do that again, pretty sure I will throw up. I'm not really hungry, just a horrible headache.

    Have to ask, why did you have to eat cucumbers to take the Cal-Mag? Is there a reasoning behind this?

    I was told if I'm really hungry to eat an extra bar. I think that's a dangerous thing to tell me. Then I just start making excuses as to why I can eat different things. I need to be strict to this plan. I've got a friend who eats cheese and drinks one pop a day and has actually found alcohol with no carbs and does that. It's good to read about the no alcohol and why. Will definitely stay away from that.
    Regarding the alcohol: my coach said that since we are giving our liver and pancreas a rest on this diet drinking alcohol can make us hypoglycemic and very sick. So it's as much about that as it is about avoiding carbs. Some alcohol like vodka had zero carbs but it would still be a bad idea on a diet like this.
  • Quote: That is great your place has a swap basket - mine has nothing. You have to buy the whole box and if you dont like too bad. Which stinks cause I have 2 packets of drinks I hate and they wont take them back. It is also for hard for me to try new things cause I would hate to not like it and then I cant swamp it out

    Slipfree-thanks for your encouragement! Good luck!
    LUCCILOVE, let me know if you ever want to swap anything - I'm not too far from Alexandria (I work at CapitalOne in McLean) and totally need variety if I'm going to stick to this diet! The office swap basket was a little disappointing at my weigh in last night (only had a few things to swap out for!) BUT...

    I lost 7 pounds and 2" off my waist!! Pretty happy about that for a first weigh in!!

  • Good day everyone! Day 2 and going strong haven't hit a low patch yet or any side effects but I usually get a headache on day 3, here's to hoping it doesn't happen.

    Haven't had any restrictions since starting either which is a huge accomplishment for me. However next week is TOM so it will more than likely change lol I like my sweets and am the type to eat more then one once I start. So I save them till I absolutely need one.

    Has anyone tried "big Mac in a bowl"? Im tempted to try it but nervous at the same time.

    Hope everyone has a fantastic op day

    Question for you... I saw this before but can't figure out what it means. I'll probably to a face-palm after you answer, tho. What does TOM mean?

    Some forum lingo:
    NSV = Non-scale victory
    TOM = time of the month
    WI = Weigh-in
    WF = Walden Farms
    OP = on plan
  • Time of month lol

    Had the Big Mac in a bowl the first week and loved it! I changed the ground beef out for ground turkey and did not have any dressing but was still delicious. I mixed in a little hot sauce while the ground turkey was cooking to give it a little flavor
  • Wow, duh! Sorry, LOL!

    I know it only as Dracula...
  • Claustin,
    I didn't like the Big Mac in a bowl because the Walden Fatms thousand island had a sickeningly sweet after taste. My husband like it though. He requested it for tonight
  • Sounds like everyone is doing great! Keep up the good work. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day, fingers crossed.

    Love my Big Mac in a bowl. It's my go to dinner when I don't have too much time or don't know what to have.

    Good luck! Had my second weigh in today. Down another 6.6 pounds! That puts me at 13.8 pounds in two weeks. I can't believe it. Finally....a diet that works!!!
