  • what did I say no to?
well we had a planned trip to mcds, and instead of a burger and giant fries I bought a salad and a small fry... I love thier fries... but I did behave well today!
  • I said no to EVERYTHING at the Sonic Drive-in! I burned dinner, miserably....smoked up the whole house. So, I opened all the windows and loaded all the kids up in the van and took them to Sonic for dinner while the house was airing out. I didn't get a thing. Yay, me! The house is still pretty stinky, but the smoke is clear. I just made myself a chicken wrap with a little salsa, FF sour cream and fresh spinach. I am so proud of my will-power tonight!
  • I said no to homemade banana bread
  • I said no to BREAD, again. All of March I hope
  • I said no to salad dressing. I still had some, but I just dipped my fork in it.
  • First: I am working on "designing" a monkey-themed baby shower cake for my daughter that I will need to make as simply as possible while I'm at her house (can't pack many of my cake decorating supplies in my suitcase for the flight). I need to figure out how to make polka dots for her cake (preferably not out of fondant frosting), so this morning I wondered if melted chocolate would work (cut with a circle fondant cutter before it's completely set). I LOVE CHOCOLATE. I melted the (Ghiradelli) chocolate and spread it out, tried cutting it and realized it was spread too thick so I re-melted and tried again. It smelled sooooo good but I didn't so much as lick the spoon. As soon as I was done I scraped the bowl and ran water into it.

Secondly: Today was a birthday lunch for one of the girls on the same floor as me at work (different law firms but we share a breakroom). They brought the leftovers into the breakroom about the time I was going to lunch. Sandwiches, chips, pasta salad and cookies (the most amazing sugar cookies with pink frosting). I had half of a sandwich (bean sprouts, avocado and turkey), along with the asparagus from my planned lunch. It was not even difficult to say no to the cookies (used to be I would have probably eaten at least a couple of them). After I finished my lunch I went for a walk outside for the rest of my lunch period (about 25 minutes). :-)

oh . . . the best part . . . I have been saying no to chocolate for 14 days now and this past week has been TOM . . .

  • Said NO to a co-worker's birthday cake...
It didn't really look that good anyway. It was just the grocery store's birthday cake. So not worth the calories!
  • hmm
I said no to a bunch of chips... I broke a few and spread em on my salad...I did good. Also, said no to a candy bar.
  • I said no to free bread today!

I get a smilie for every 5lbs. lost. Here is my first smilie ! woo hoo!
  • Said no to Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
  • I also said no to doughnuts!! It was SO hard. But Im so much happier I did..
  • Blairsey, your willpower at Sonic inspired me for the night!

In the order I considered them, tonight I've said no to a cupcake, some frozen yoghurt, and a bag of Cheetos.
  • Although I did succumb to Sonic, after I had been to the doctor and had blood taken and hadn't eaten at all today, yea no excuses.. lol

I had some Cadbury cream eggs in my cart at Target, but I put them back!!!
  • After work I drove by McDonald's and thought about how much I miss it and how easy it would be to just take some home, but I just kept driving...
  • Last night, I pulled a frozen pizza out of my freezer. I carefully thought about it. Re-evealutated my priorities... and ended up having broccolli and talapia instead. (and a glass of red wine!) I couldn't believe I was able to actually put that pizza back into the freezer...
