Had my first Girl Scout meeting of the school year last night. My girls have crazy summer schedules, so I don't even try to do any summer activities. My co-leader, who hasn't seen me since June commented that she can tell I've lost weight. Woohoo!!! my first non family member comment. Keep 'em coming! lol.

This is kind of a funny one. I can no longer rest notepads on my tummy when I'm writing something. I haven't been able to do this for a while but just today realized what was so different. I kept looking for stiffer notepads! hahaha It isn't that AT ALL! It's the shrinking me!

I have 2 pairs of capris that I wear to work, when its hot. I have saggy butt capris now! I used to fill them out, they were tight in the back and in the thigh. Now they aren't! The scale might not be moving fast, but Momma needs a new pair of pants!

I've lost 10% of my body weight 3 times! That means I've made big positive changes to my overall health 3 times!!! I love that!

Also, this is semi-scale related but it's really more about state of being. I, for the first time in my ENTIRE life, weigh less than my younger sister. Yes, she is about 2 inches taller than me and she is also slightly overweight for her height...but still. I have NEVER weighed less than she does. She is very proud of me and I don't think it bothers her in the slightest. She is working on losing, now, too....and next summer when we're all on our family vacation and we're floating around the lazy river in our suits and healthy weighted bodies we're just going to be so PLEASED with each other!!!

Tricia - those are the NSV's that are the bestest! Congratulations on that milestone!! (and I think it is very cool that she is so supportive of you instead of being jealous!)

My newest NSV is again clothes related. Youngest daughter is now out of state in college (Bellarmine University in Louisville KY) and I have been finishing up the laundry she left behind. There is one shirt that I thought was nice, and I just tried it on for kicks, and it FITS!! Old Navy - size L ~ never in a million years would I have thought that I would ever fit in NORMAL clothes, and everytime I try something on - it still AMAZES me, that it REALLY does fit me!!

I did a yoga position that I've been trying to do for six months and haven't been able to do without a modification. I didn't even realize I was doing it correctly until after a couple of breaths. I was so happy I squealed "I did it!" in the middle of the class.

I went out to dinner with friends last night and we were taken to a booth to be seated. I HATE booths. I HATE them with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns!!!!!! I mentally sized up the width of the booth and cringed. I was with two males friends and one of their dads. Thin guys would so not understand if I asked if we could wait for a table. I didn't think I was going to fit. But what was I going to do??? So I sat down praying the prayer of fat women everywhere: please God let me fit, please God let me fit...

And I FIT! I totally fit. With inches to spare!!!! No boobs sitting on the table, no table cutting my stomach in half, no accidentally getting food on my shirt because I couldn't lean in to take a bite, no shoving at the table bolted to the floor in vain hoping for a spare millimeter of room to spare. I fit like a normal person. I LOVE feeling normal.

Christy - Yippee! Those comments are just starting!

Tricia - WTG for your sister. I just found out my sister has lost a lot of weight, and is smaller than me by about 4 sizes, and I am jealous beyond belief along with being happy for her. That's really great that you're able to inspire each other.

NickiB - I LOVE it when I undergrow my clothes. It's such a great feeling. Congrats!

Mrs. Q. - Don't know if I'll ever get to the sharing clothes stage with my daughter, but it's so sweet that you're there! You've made so much progress - you're such an inspiration!

Fooled - Great work on sticking with the yoga position until you got it. It's my goal to start doing some yoga soon - I've read that it's great strength training. I bet everyone was so happy for you!

CC - I've said that prayer too many times to count. Congratulations on having yours answered! Pretty soon, booths won't be an issue at all - you are losing so steadily, posting great losses week after week. Can't wait to see your "halfway there" thread!

I went to the gym last night & had a really good workout. I deadlifted 155lbs which is a good start at moving the weight up!

I can sit in the booth at Subway without touching the table!!!

Alana Jo, that's great! I remember when I used to cringe over whether I would fit into a booth at a restaurant. Feels nice not to have to worry about it, huh?

OK, this one is funny. I got on the big trampoline last night with my niece and nephew. Being little kids, they love it when us grown ups get on and can bounce them around. Well, last night my nephew got mad and "Aunt Sissy, how come you dont bounce us as high as you did before?" I cracked up laughing at that one. But you try explaining to a 6 and 4 year the physics of that! I just left it as I'm not as bouncy anymore.

Yesterday at my weigh-in & measurement I lost 2" around my middle! I'm getting a waist - this is the first time (in who knows how long) that my hips measure bigger than my middle (not my waist 'cause I'm super high waisted - could never pull the pants that high!). This is also the first loss in anything in 3 weeks.

I teach cake decorating classes, and last night one of my students from last year poppped into the room. She (very loudly!) said....."YOU look AMAZING!!" I then told the students in the class the reason she was so shocked at how I looked was because I was 80+ pounds smaller than the last time she had seen me.

It is very cool to hear the responses of people that haven't seen me in a long time. Sure is a morale booster!

Kudos for you kristy I would not even attempt to get on my inlaws old crickety welded twice trampaline. I did once and they were laughing at how close it could touch the ground.Kids are so honest it is always nice to get a compliment from them.

Mrs quadcrew you have some great restraint "Cake decorating classes" I would have eaten myself into a sugar coma...lol

my nsv is my endurance level, I can't kick as high or do the crazy jumping jacks (feels like the girls are going to jump right off) but I only stop and drink water when ever anybody else in my kickboxing class does. 3 weeks ago I was stoping every 10 min now it is only once at the 30 min mark..yippe!
