  • I'm glad that tomorrow is the end of the month....that gives me an extra day to work off the fish and chips and piece of birthday cake that I had for lunch yesterday!! While I didn't eat all of my fries, I did have two pieces of fish.....but just a fruit smoothie for dinner. I was really good this past week...I hope a couple of "not so great" choices doesn't ruin it completely.
    I know that I am not going to reach my 8lb goal for the month...I might not even reach 5lbs....good reason to try harder in August.

  • oh sockmonkey70 i felt your pain i hate that sinking feeling you get, yes you know its that time of the month but it doesnt stop you feeling gutted though. I say hide those darn scales for the next week!
    I had a similar thing yesterday/today, yesterday I was 214 with clothes on, this morning im 215 naked.... so im going to stick with 215 i think be honest with myself!!
  • Hi girlsssss, nice to hear from you kudos for keeping at it! We still have 2 days left to the month. It's a new day and wishing you all a successful and good day. It's buckle down day for me here again, can't let that extra eating I did over the weekend get out of hand. I must stay away from the carbsssssss (whites) as they are a real trigger for me, the more I eat them the more I want them!

  • TOM is here so I too will be skipping the weighing in too for a bit, likely by next Saturday I'll weigh in. It's curious, I used to be like clockwork with TOM and my timing was off by 4 days last month and another 4 days this month. Strange.

  • This month has gone by soooo fast!!
  • Went by very fast. I forgot about this challenge. But that doesn't mean I didn't meet my goal tho. I made it to 5lbs gone and surpassed it by 3lbs. So I lost 8 total this month and it feels great. And my pants fit better.
  • So I officialy did not make my July goal. I lost a total of 5 pounds (was hoping to lose 8). I was down 7 at one point, but managed to gain 2 lbs overnight. I think this is due to drinking beer as well as the foods I chose to eat to feed my hangover. So i'm back up to 144 from 142 now. I'm hoping I can get down to 134 for the month of August, a goal I know is quite doable. I'm down to the last 14-16 pounds which i'm hoping I can lose by October 1st. It would be nice to be in the maintenance stages come halloween. My vacation is coming up this friday, and although i'm slightly worried of weight gain i'm also taking some necessary precautions so that it'll be the smallest gain possible. I'd love to hear from those who reached their july goal, to give me some motivation for this upcoming month! For those of us that didn't reach the goal, as long as we stayed on course, we should be proud of ourselves. Now lets bring on a healthy August!
  • I managed to lose 10 lbs this month, which I'm pretty happy about. I'm actually quite surprised that I was able to stick with it for the entire month. My usual pattern is that I start out great and go a couple of weeks before I have a relapse and then it's like Give Me Ice Cream!!! and I'm a complete loss until something triggers the cycle again.

    I feel different now, though- more in control. I'm not sure what the difference is- although I do know you guys have a lot to do with it. It's funny, I actually feel averse to certain things. Like last night, I made eggplant parmigiana- fried, cheesed, the whole works. And I actually felt full after eating a modest, but real, portion. And it occurred to me, so that's what full feels like! A little later, we went out for a visit where we were handed plates of pie and ice cream. And some little alien in my brain made me say thank you very graciously, eat a few delicious bites and hand the plate to my husband (the bigger he gets, the smaller I look standing next to him - just kidding...).

    Elegant- you need motivation from little ol' us? You've accomplished so much! You look fantastic! And it sounds like you're having a great time! October's just the name of a month. You'll reach maintenance, I'm sure.

  • ok i only lost 1 lb. for this month. i've been very bad. but i am happy with the one lb loss. it puts me at -35lbs
  • So I am at 117.5 as of this morning, despite TOM being in full force.

    So I am shy of my July goal by .5 pounds and am ready to move onto August.
  • My TOM started late on the 31st but I still lost 2 lbs {need to update my tickers} 3 shy of my goal but for all the up & down I did, not too bad.

    On to August.
