  • Oh and I'm down 5.8 lbs this week.
  • For the third time Shari WOOHOO!!!!! but I am guessing you can't hear that enough. lol
  • Thanks Jen! Hopefully I can keep it up.
  • I guess it is just you me kinda feels foolish keeping this thread going we are in other theads together.lol
  • I was just thinking that this morning! LMAO. But I guess I'm just hoping that some of the gals will come back.
  • Hi I'm back. I haven't forgotton youse guys.

When is this challenge supposed to end exactly?

    How is everyone else doing?

I think we should see this through til the end. Whenever that is of course.

Shari, woo hoo from me too. (oh look I'm a poet)

I have had a great month myself. I weaned my daughter a few months ago and I think the ol' hormones have readjusted. It really helps weight come off of me. For me nursing makes fat stick like glue (ok maybe it makes me eat like there's no tomorrow same idea)

Anyhow I am still here challenging away. Let's keep the challenge alive!

(If anyone is still reading this that is)
  • The challenge ends the first day of summer June 21.

day 2 at ticker weight sio I think I am finally back down and hopefully will keep going.
  • So I see that we both have 7 lbs for 7 weeks? Can we do it?

    It'll be fun to try!
  • So we do! I don't think I will make it cause I am past the 1 pound a week thing. Plus I am upping the weights I am lifting. As long as I see results ,clothes fitting better or getting too big, I will be happy. Althought it will be nice if the scale moved also.
  • Well you know summer does last for three months. So I figure the worst thing that can happen is I make my goal sometime during the summer. Still lets keep the challenge alive and see how far we can go. Even another 3-4 lbs by then would sure be progress.

And really what we want to lose is 7 lbs of fat so if you replace some of that with muscle or excess water or whatever due to increased fitness...well I think that counts all the more, don't you.
  • True you have a point. I am going to keep going it is just kinda disheartning that everyone disapeared even the one who started the thread but at least there are 3 of us...lol
  • Welcome back Hiker!
  • Hey thanks,

Had a great run today....7 miles!

This is really phenomenal for me as I have only been running since February.

Down another pound which might come back next week when I start lifting weights again but such is the price of fitness. Until then I move the ticker down another notch.

Glad I have some company on the final stretch of this challenge. I am going to really go for it. In a couple more pounds I am down to a weight lower than I have been in 15 years so I am getting pretty excited.

    Woo hoo for 3FC!
  • 7 miles?! WOW!

I decided to set a exercise goal for the month. 1000 minutes isn't much but it's a start. I need to get off my lazy butt.

    Rant:
Pissed off at Alabama food stamps people. They print an article in the newspaper about wanting more people to apply for food stamps yet I apply, someone who DESPERATELY needs them, and I get declined because I'm not 22 yet and have no kids?! Well excuse me! So sorry I'm not popping out kids like everyone my age or younger, I'm so stupid. They said that until I turn 22, I would have to have the card in my mama's name but she makes WAY too much money to get food stamps so I am royally screwed. Dammit to ****! I am poor. Seriously. I barely make enough to cover my rent, that's why I'm looking for a second job. Imbeciles!
  • 1000 minutes is great. I exercise 30-60 minutes a day but usually around 45 minutes. Not much more really. Today I am resting!

Bummer about the food stamps. That's terrible. That is not exaclty a fair rule since many parents don't support their kids at 21.
