The South Beach diet is one that emphasizes good carbs over empty carbs. It was developed for heart health but as a great side effect you lose weight especially in your belly area. The first two weeks are a detox.....and I'm not gonna lie it's hard. But you are retraining your body to use good foods and crave bad ones less. I'm not explaining it really well, but I definitely recommend the book. It makes alot of sense. I knew a lady who was a dietician and asked her what she thought about it. She said it was the only popular "diet" she would recommend and that is was very sound advice especially if you are trying to retrain your eating. Hope this helps! There is also the S.B. diet forum too
Managed to do 50 minutes of cardio today. Yay!

But it's ok, because it's going to start goig down as of today!!!!
It's ok though, we all have bad times. It's important to just get back on track and keep going, even if we take a step back sometimes. That's probably one of the hardest things for me while losing weight, to not get discouraged when I make a mistake or gain a little. GOOD LUCK! You can do it!
