Gee I was hoping you guys would fall for the Fierce Froufie persona - but I guess you know me better than that??? lol
Still a bit in pain today and while I can "hobble" better I find I can't be up and about for too long - start looking for a chair to rest in. My upper back is hurting a bit now cuz I think I am "compensating" for the bad leg when I walk and this is stressing other muscles!
Just had breakfast

- hope I ate enuf to stifle any stomach pain from the pain pill!
I also might go out today - maybe to Chapters/Starbucks for a coffee? I feel I need to move a bit and get used to walking....I also get so bored being at home all day. Need to burn a few calories??

I am still up at least 1.5 lbs and while I understand why it's there it's still depressing me!
kally - have fun at the gym - I'm sure you will learn many "new" tricks!
Deborah - what fun to have a lunch date and afternoon off - ENJOY! and CONGRATS on the 2 lb loss - are you kidding?

You shoulkd be EXTREMELY PROUD of yourself as you are on the right track! Keep up the good work!
I also heard it take about a year AFTER a major weight loss for your skin to adjust - so while it may seem bad at the time - it may get better. Of course any toning and exercise you do can only help! (and yes if all else fails, to the lingerie shop we go!)
Will talk to DD again when she gets home from school - I have decided that if she DOES NOT WANT TO GO I am not taking her. I don't want her being sullen and cranky all week! I might just take the little guy with me - at least he will wear what he's told, and be more cooperative than she is (I am finding 13 to be such a difficult age - last night she came in asking for MORE allowance - even tho she is not doing the "jobs" she is asked to do for the $10 she gets right now - I said what will you do to earn the extra money?? "I don't know?" - sorry that does not cut it with me or in the real world - like go ask your boss for a raise without some facts to back you up! Good luck!).
Yes she did finally clean up her room last night after I pointed out where the "problem areas" were. She was unsure where to put things? (I said put them where they "came from" not on the floor, or in the corners, or under your desk - garbage them if you have no room - this morning I find 3 pairs of slippers and one pair of dress shoes IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM GARBAGE CAN - and I told her this was the kind of "attittude" I was talking about - not very mature or nice of her!). Yes I salvaged them and put them in her messy closet!
Oh ya and she had a friend over after school yesterday and when I asked her about the Mexico trip her friend kinda freaked out - like why would you not go??? Friend realized that this was an opportunity and of course offered to go in her place!!!
Vickie - glad to hear your nephew is finally home - I'm sure he will recuperate much better there! Have a fun day (I am even jealous of people running errands now cuz I am so immobilized!!!

)
And my kitchen is a DISASTER AREA - I refuse to go and clean up, esp as I can't stand for too long. No one has emptied the dishwasher and you can barely see the (huge) island in my kitchen cuz it is covered w/dirty dishes and recycling stuff (old newspapers, boxes, etc). DD was supposed to empty dishwasher and ds was supposed to take out the recycling. We will soon run out of cutlery and dishes so I hope someone will take the initiative and load and run dishwasher. Dh and I have decided it ain't gonna be us!
