I'm 32 yrs old and mother of 2 rambunctious boys (15 & 5). I've never really been a "dieter" or one that's obsessed over my weight. I've always lead an active life and never watched what I ate. In the last couple of years i've put on 20 plus pounds. Within the last year, I started feeling way beyond my age. I had no energy, lazy, sickly, all in all I just felt unhealthy. I woke up one morning and decided I needed a change. For myself but most importantly for my boys. I started MRC in mid June. After my first appt., I felt very confident that this program would fit into my lifestyle and was easy enough for me to do. The promise of 3-5 lbs a week was what really sold me.

. The first day I was given a sheet that listed the foods that I was able to eat. They also stressed that my water intake must increase. (That was a huge change for me. I never drank plain old water.) At my first WI I lost 1lb. This was also the 1st class I attended. They thoroughly explained the whole process of weight loss via their program. It all made perfect sense. I felt even more confident when I left that day. It has been somewhat of a struggle for me to stick with program. Primarily because it is the summer months. I haven't lost the 3-5 lbs a week. However, I do feel like a different person. More energy, alot healthier, a lot more active than ever. Personally, I am very satisfied with that. I know that I have a lot of weight in numbers to lose. I am not discouraged by the numbers. I know that it takes a lot of will power and life changes to lose weight. I want to do it at my own pace. I feel that if I can just continue to lose 1-2 lbs a week, I will get to my goal weight in a healthy way as well as staying true to what I know I am capable of continuing. If anyone has any pointers, I'd love to hear them.
