Hello everyone

Welcome Matilda & Clairbear to the Onederland challenge. Matilda I'm sorta following Weight Watchers right now. I'm not attending the meetings anymore but I'm thinking about joining online this week.

Thinsole - You are doing an awesome job! You are so close.

I was getting so close to onederland (down to 204) and then I lost it and am starting over at 212. I'm not going to stress over the gain but I'm putting all my energy into getting back on track and back down to 204.

Starting this very lateeeeeee but I am desperate for Onederland!

As of this morning, I am at 206.8. I was at 232 on July 4th, when I started this weight loss journey. 25.2 pounds down, at least that much to go. Not sure what my final ~goal weight is, but onederland is so close I can taste it!

I've been sloooowly losing since I moved to Colorado Springs in August, from 218 to 206. I dropped from 232 to 218 very quickly but moving really slowed everything down for me. However, my boyfriend might FINALLY be moving in with me soon, which means for easier cooking (I really suck at cooking for one...really badly. Huge family syndrome??)

However, my own little pat on the back -- I went to Louisiana for two and a half weeks over the Christmas break and managed to only gain two pounds which I immediately lost again. Now that I'm back up in healthyland, I'm gonna act like it and make it count for real. Moving back to Louisiana in July means I better be very comfortably within my goal weight range so that I can start maintenance, because I need to learn how to keep it off BEFORE I go back to the land of fattening foods!

I am so desperate for onederland too. We are both getting so close. Congrats - You have done a great job since July. I hope you make your goal and start maintenance before going back to LA. I love the food there too. I absolute love love the fried shrimp & oyster Po Boy, gumbo and beignets

You're making me drool! Thank you for the support! Yes it's great to be so close...in late 2007/early 2008 I lost about 30 pounds to get down to 190 and felt so good at that weight...so can't wait to get back down to that and beyond.

Also, wow, look at our sw/cw/gw! Almost exactly the same across the board. How funny is that!

I remember when I was about 180 lbs & I used to think "if I ever get to 200 lbs i just HAVE to lose weight!" WELL.... 100 lbs later, I finally took that statement to heart

I'm working on it! Ive been eating better and working out and Ive lost about 10 lbs. I'll let you guys know how my weigh in goes next week! ^_^ Good lluck to all of you! Hope to hear good things!!

203.8 today! A week of cooking mostly at home, tracking everything seems to have worked to get me past the 207-210 plateau! What a wonderful gift to see that number today...last night I was feeling very exhausted with this whole process. But I'm happy with two pounds each week for the past two weeks! That means that if I work very hard (and maybe do some ACTUAL cardio) this week I'll be to onederland soon!!

Down to 205. Today is my 1 year weight loss anniversary. 60 pounds down, 60 to goal. And only a bit over 5 till Onderland.

I'm half way to onederland

OK since I'm getting close to onederland (about 12 pounds away) I'm going to revive this challenge. I have been trying for a long time to get here and this time I know that I am going to do it.

thank you for bringing up this thread. I stopped weighing myself when my toddler broke my 20-yr old bathroom scale. I thought ....I don't need a scale. And my clothes got tighter and tighter. So I broke down and bought an electronic scale -- and was horrified that my weight was 207. Swore this week I would loose 2 lbs: Ate healthfully, excercised, no alcohol (going beerless in Germany is pretty hard core)...weighed myself 4 days later for a little motivation....

and had gained 5 pounds. Whaaaaa...?

So now I keep checking daily first thing in the morning -- which I know is wrong, but I keep thinking the number will go under 207 -- given that I haven't fallen face first into a bag of chips or anything. And the numbers bounce between 208-212.

Is this kind of thing normal for an electronic scale? 2-3 pounds water weight, ok, but 5 seems really odd.

Oh, for my Little House on the Prarie scale to live again...
