  • Quote: Way to go Bree! I'm so glad you had a great time at the movies with your hubby! It's so important. How did you resist the popcorn? Just the thought of pizza is close to pushing me over the edge. I think I need a cheat day.

Poll: What do you all think of cheat days? Good or bad?
I think cheat days are essential. You just want to cheat in moderation (or work extra hard the next day) to keep on track. Everybody needs a release every so often!

The theater we went to was really cool, they serve you dinner at your seat just before the movie. They also bring the goodies out to you, so I just told myself over and over that afternoon that candy was out of the question. Once the food got there and I got to eating, I got so into the movie that I forgot all about candy. Probably if I had to go past the concession stand, my will power might have waned a little.

Sara, a swim sounds so good today! I hope you enjoy that!
  • I have not exercised in a week. Tomorrow is my meeting, let's hope it doesn't show too much on the scales. As long as I don't gain I'm happy.

On my WW plan we get 35 extra points to blow on a day of eating whatever we want. I get nervous and never use them though.

I ate a lot of gingersnap cookies and pumpkin dip in the last hour. Bad Bad Jenny!

Congrats on the weight loss everyone! I'm glad we are all sticking to it!
  • Hello ladies!! Congrats to those that have lost this last week and for those that did not...it's the start of a new week!

I did drop 3 pounds this week. I'm just happy to be lower than where I was after my 1st week! putting on the weight last week was a real bummer, but that was a motivation to get working this last week!

I did work out 60 minutes today! This weekend stunk as far as workouts go so I really had to do double the work today.

As far as cheat days go, I think they are good every now and then. I tend to pay big time when I have one, but a cheat is needed so that you don't over indulge on a regular basis.

Who is up for a new thread since this one is kind of dated with the "September '07 Newbies"? Someone want to come up with a new thread name?
  • If we should have a new thread, how about "Newbies sticking with it" That will encourage other newbies to continue to join us, but show our dedication to each other and ourselves!! And oh, by the way, I'm not sure how to start a new thread.
  • Hey ladies! How is everyone today? I'm a little under the weather here (hopefully last week's cold is not trying to rear it's ugly head again!)

My take on cheat days is that I can not do them in the beginning, I need a detox period where I just ban the "bad" stuff until I have put in enough work & effort to need that break and even then because I have put in that hard work & effort I am conscious of what I am eating on that cheat day because I don't consider a cheat day a free for all. It's also weird because after a while my body adjusts to all the healthy eating and anything that is junk makes me feel like

A new thread would be nice maybe we can take turns or one person can be responsible for starting our new threads? I would be more than happy to help in that area.
  • Okay, the new thread has been started!! Follow the link below!
