    This is really frustrating. TOM hasn't shown up but I've got all the symptoms and bloat. I feel very anxious in general and overwhelmed by university work and my dad. Sorry to moan but urgh, it's not great. Sorry for no personals but I'm wiped out.
  • Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had a awesome weekend. I was on travel in NJ last week and didn't post here. The weather was so bad and I ate a lot of junk food and no exercise at all. Now I'm back in sunny Atlanta and am headed to swimming pool right now. Joe

    My cold has progressed from the sore throat stage, to the congested, runny nose stage and now is on to the coughing stage. Ugh! I've found that Mucinex + Nyquil pushes back the worst of the cough impulse so I'm not dying, but makes me dizzy and lightheaded. February has just been a write off for me. I've only had like 3 days that I really felt good. The rest of the month has been varying stages of UGH! Sleep has been awful this week, eating hasn't been much better. I've gotten almost no exercise all month. Honestly, I'm glad to have lost anything. Here's to a better March. No energy for personals.
  • We've been celebrating my daughter's birthday all weekend and I've been trying to behave. I wish the weather would get better so I can get out and walk some more. It's been cold and/or raining/snowing forever, I just want a few decent days to get out of the house.

  • been eating pretty bad and not stood on scales for a few days. I had two days rest after the long trek, but back to double-spin classes this morning and felt fantastic fitness-wise - probably because of the rest. My plan was to shake things up a bit, just so my body wouldn't know what's coming, so think I've definitely done that the last few days, but not sure where it's going to land me. Now i'm concerned that i'll want to be reaching for the chocolate bars and the shake up has made me want to eat rubbish. Hopefully not. Lets see. The plan is back to fairly strict food for the next two days but know i'm out for a meal with a group of friends on Thursday, and out again on Friday...

    Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today and on the mend. February can be a tough time for you northern-hemisphere dwellers.

    Apparently 195.2 is the weight of the week for me. My coughing is still bad today, but Mucinex alone is taking care of it. I'm going to go to work today (haven't for the last few days) for a few hours at least.
  • Finally got on the scales this morning.
    111.3 which is a couple of 1lbs lower than I expected, but think TOM is almost here (and contrary to what most people seem to report, I usually drop weight the day before).
    So i'm happy with that and there's not time for a serious weight disaster between now and the end of Feb, so another successful month clocked up!
    Hurray!!
    I've got my 1:1 personal trainer session at the gym tonight to learn how to do handstands, so i'm a bit apprehensive about that!
  • Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this. I'm going to go ahead with the plan but keep up with a blog.

    Cold has settled down to just a cough, but I also woke up with a headache this morning. I am so done with February. Bring on March!

    Feb Target met!
  • Hi all! February sure is a short month!

    Here's our weight loss thread for the month of March: https://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/chi...challenge.html
  • Way to go, ange82much! Who else met a goal in February?

  • Way to go ange. I definitely did not meet my goals this month.

    Week Four
    22: 194.4
    23: 195.2
    24: 195.2
    25: 194.6
    26: 195.2
    27: 195.4
    28: 195.2
    ----------------------------
    Total Loss for Week Four: -0.2
    Total loss for Entire Month: -3.2

    My current measurements (to the nearest .25 inch) are:
    Neck: 14 -> 13.75
    Bicep: 13.5 -> 13.25
    Forearm: 11 -> 11
    Chest: 42.25 -> 42.25
    Waist: 37 -> 37.25
    Belly/Hips: 44 -> 44
    Thigh: 25.5 -> 25
    Calf: 17.25 -> 16.75

    So I lost 3.2 pounds for the month and only 1.25 inches. It was definitely not my best month. I feel like I got hit with sort of a triple whammy this month. Short month in the first place, plus bad weather, plus sick or fighting off being sick pretty much the entire month. So I didn't get much exercise at all, and I didn't eat the best. However, looking at it from the other side, I still lost 3 pounds this month and rather than completely falling off the wagon like I have done in the past when sick, I find myself frustrated that I haven't been healthy enough to have the energy to cook more or go for more walks. And I'm still actively trying to do both. I did both yesterday for the first time in a while and it felt good. So I haven't lost the habits, just the ability for a little while, and now I'm starting to feel better, so getting back to the habits. I think that's a pretty big win for me.

    So in all, February wasn't much of a success, but it also wasn't a failure. I'm looking forward to a healthier March. The one week this month that I felt good, I lost most of the weight, but even the 3 weeks I didn't feel good, I basically maintained. So if I can kick this darn cold, I think my weight loss will go back to a reasonable pace. My 1 year weight loss anniversary is in 18 days. I'd like to finish my year out strong.
