  • This is my very first post
    I just started at the Metabolic Research Center. My goal is to lose 47 pounds but if I could lose 60- even better. My start weight was 197 and I'm down to 194 today. 3 pounds down in 4 days--not to shabby.

    This is the first time in my life I've been this overweight (just had a baby in December & the weight crept up).

    So- the journey begins. Thanks for the support!

    Welcome aboard and the absolute best of luck!!! I gained weight after my baby too - funny, I actually went up to 194 because I never stopped eating for 2 even after one left the restaurant

    New to this thread. After 4 months of losing I'm stalling, big time. Now I'm just looking for some motivation and accountability, not to mention some inspiration. Thanks all!
  • Down another 2# this week. It is strange, last week I exercised like crazy and only lost .4 whereas this week I didn't do any exercise (only dieted) and lost 2 pounds. Who knows??

    Next week might be a struggle. I picked up a weeks worth of consulting work so I will be busy working and around many temptations. I guess at some point I need to expose myself to all of the worlds pitfalls. Rather than what I have been doing, hiding in the house.

    Anyhoo, I love reading all your posts and am inspired by all your struggles and victories!

  • Down another 2.6# this week!

    I was a little surprised because I worked all week and was sitting at a desk rather than up and about like I have been doing. SOOO happy to have kissed the 270's goodbye for good.

    This week will have its challenges too. We have houseguests coming for a few days and entertaining them always seems to center around food. But I am responsible for the choices I make and my intention is to stay on plan.

    We shall see...
