Day 1 was a success!!! All challenges completed!!

Diyana, Joy, and Miriam, You girls rock! Sarasmommy, good start. Hi everyone, I'm bad about remembering to list everyone's name, but I did read all the posts. Thank you Red for this challenge.

Hi everyone -

Gotta get ready for an early a.m. meeting. So only have time for my results:

Day 1 - Journal and Stay within points - DONE - 3 pauses left
Day 2 - Go to gym or walk at least 25 minutes per day - DONE - 3 pauses left
Day 3 - 50 ab exercises per day - DONE - 3 pauses left

I've got to revise my 50 crunches per day to 50 ab exercises. Yesterday my PT told me that my lower abs aren't strong enough (YET) to do reverse crunches correctly. She showed me the correct way to stabilize (and hold) my pelvis before I do ANY exercises so that I'm working my core/back correctly. So I've got a whole new set of ab exercises in addition to regular crunches and instead of reverse crunches.

Day 1 - sugar challenge, 3 pauses left

Today is the last day of my sugar challenge. Hurrah! I'll get through this OK, I know it. This is the first time I've been able to get through a sugar challenge that allowed me some, instead of cutting it out completely. It has helped me find the things that I don't really like, but would reach for and then want more and more because I wasn't really satisfied. It's like so much in life, I guess...I can't get no satisfaction.

I almost went over the caffeine challenge yesterday and figured I could because I hadn't taken any pauses. But then I thought, what's the point really? If I were really going to do something with that caffeine kick then fine, but all I was going to do was feel better. Not worth it, I thought and was able to refrain.

These last days at work are harder than I thought. All I want is OUT!!!

(completed first round July 10 with no pauses taken!!

No snacking - 0 pause - Day 19 done
Portion control - 1 pauses - Day 20 done
1300 calorie limit - 0 pause Day 18 done
Water - 1 litre per day - 0 pause - Day 19 done.
50 Crunches - 0 pauses - Day 19 done.

So it looks like Saturday and most of my challenge is over. It'll be start again time. By the look of the pauses, I will have to do this lot over and maybe add some more into it. However I will think about it.

Some one asked about the crunches - 50 of em. I do them all at once. Really it doesn't take long and once you have got over the initial pain, it is very easy. Next time will be 100. I do either 5 groups of 10 each or some I do 20 of particularly if they are involving both ends or both sides of the body - side planks for example. 10 on each side, 20 all up.

Okay gotta go. 2 days and counting.

I guess all the watching my points, journaling and exercising is paying off! I lost 2 lbs at weigh in! Bringing my total lost to 15 lbs, and my total since joining WW to 11.

Just got home from a great work out at the gym and had a healthy dinner. So here are today's results: (okay, I realize that I screwed up the days when I entered this this morning. Yesterday was day 1 for all my challenges) so....

I didn't do very good today. I was starting to get in the habit of my fruit and vege every day, so I'm just going to take another pause instead of starting over. The water, too.

Wednesdays are always hard for me sometimes, I go to church and it just throws my whole routine off. I have to get extra rest, and I don't usually drink too much water because I'm away from home. And then I had company all day today,too. I know tomorrow will be better. I'm not giving up, this challenge will work for me. I love it!

Red-Great job on not taking a pause day with your caffeine challenge. Typically, when I start thinking and tempting myself to take a pause day I give in. Good for you to fight the temptation!!!

Everyone is doing great! Thank you so much for the support everyone, and your words of encouragment today, Red! I'm changing up some of mine today. I still love this challenge. It is on my mind everyday now. And that's a good thing, I will form better habits.

Actually, for the walking....DH and I went for a long hike on a beautiful mountain trail. It was about an hour to the bottom and then an hour back to the top. It was the first time I actually HIKED (up and down steep hills on a narrow trail) since I hurt my back 4 years ago. I've gone for walks through the woods on service roads, but not true hiking! I guess the last cortisone shot has really helped!!! I was loving EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT!
