Still rockin and rollin' huh Gary?! Did you feel yesterday's quake, centered in Yucaipa? It scared me cuz of my family and then I couldn't get thru on the phone to my dad at home or to my mom's cell phone for awhile. Turns out Dad forgot to hang up the phone when he changed phones They felt it, Mom said it was quick and kind of a jolt instead of rolling. And then they had another one up north near the Oregon border last night...scary. Those plates are really moving. Or maybe it's like one of the radio guys said this a.m. and it's the state reacting to the Michael Jackson verdict.

Friday!!! Yeah!! Don't know why i'm so happy, i work all day tomorrow and sunday. It's a beautiful day here today. I'm doing ok trying to get back on track. Having some ups and downs and TOM is coming soon, so....

Just a moment so wanted to catch up a little and say hello:

EZ - Is Juan in for good or on a 2 week leave? My nephew Adam is in on 2 week leave, having a big family picnic tomorrow for him, he's been in since the 8th and I haven't gotten to see him yet so I'm really looking forward to it! Heard any more on the kid who roughed Angie up? Hopefully the courts will do something 'proper' with him and not let him get off again. We didn't get to watch any of the French Open, mostly on while we were at the beach but it's really neat that you know someone there - makes things more interesting I think. Sara got out of school on May 27th, all A's & 1-B, so mommy's happy, now on to 8th grade August 19th. . . it will be here before you know it! Have you, Angie and your 'girls' done your walk or is it tomorrow, you've maybe posted it and I've just missed it. . .

wilma - sounds like you've been Extremely Busy! Hope things will slow down some for you next week. . . by the way, great going on the size 12, I'm GREEN with envy, wish I could get there again SOON!!

SunnyD - the FLU???? Isn't this a wierd time of year to have the flu? Glad to hear you're doing better, - still miss you being around here. Still waiting on pics of the new bird feeder, - I think that's all I'm going to say I want this Christmas, I like everyone else has way-y-y too much of 'everything' so I think I'll just try to help out my feathered friends some, bird feeders and bird houses, - that will make me happy and them too I suppose! Are you still walking? How's Joe doing, BP and such getting under control? Keep it up and let us here from you sometime, will ya???

teel - don't you just love construction around the house? Seem like you clean up/tear out one room and junk up two or three others in the process. . makes you wonder if it's all worth it. Hope you're having a GREAT birthday!!!!

lateralus/rachel - so glad to hear you enjoyed your trip, the pics were awesome and came out so clear!!! How's school going, - did you get the scholarship stuff worked out?

jen1teacher - PTL on your good test results!!! Makes your summer vacation a WHOLE lot better! Wondering if you still have any family in Charleston?

cbaumgardner - Did you get your ear staples? Is this in both ears? I think you're going to have to explain some of this to me, I've never heard of such, what's the process, how long do they stay in, etc? I can only imagine a doctor coming at me with a staple gun. . .

Gotta run and get DD from day camp. . . happy Friday to all and God Bless - Margie

MICHELE Nah, didn't feel the one in Yucaipa....there was a guy (expert?) on tv yesterday saying that the quakes could be ready to shake up San Bernadino...but they are only logically (?) guessing. As you know from living here ya just gotta hang on and hope your house and family are ok...who can afford the earthquake insurance anyway? I used to have it but that was before the big one in Northridge, what was it about 14-15 years ago? then the insurance just went way too high to afford.Have fun with John this week-end if you get the chance!

MARGIEB Good to see you. Angie had a meeting with management on the child, seems that the administration just wants the problem to go away...she has 3 other teachers, one who had a restraining order against the kid last year, that want to "fight" with her on this issue...if the kid isn't placed where he can be helped, well, someone will probably get hurt real bad one day...there is more to this, but too involved to explain. Bottom line- the school wants it to go away and Angie and the others are not going to allow it. I don't really know Elena Likhotseva but my daughter does, it does make it more fun to watch...she was WAY above herself in the French Open though, the best ever for her...she almost retired last year too! Juan is already back in Iraq, thanks for asking, I e-mailed him a few days ago...didn't hear from him...got worried...alot of boys have fallen this last week...but he did get back to me..he is safe. Prayers for your nephew too! Have fun with your kiddo this summer!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually if any of you would like to send Juan a card or care package for him and his buddies thanking them for protecting our right to be FREE...you can reach him at-

PFC Sanchez Maldonado, Juan
D1 3-7 IN
4th BDE 3 ID
APO AE 09364

I know he and the guys would really enjoy it....he says some of the guys don't ever get anything from anyone...that is why he shares everything I send him with them. He loves FLAMING HOT CHEETOS! and STARBURST candies...if it is in your budget...but seriously just a THANK-YOU card would be cool!! You may tell him that you are a friend of mine (Gary, or Mr. Miller) as he calls me....but for obvious reasons ya probably don't want to tell him you are one of my FAT CHICK friends ...we should just stick with Christian Encouragers!

Thanks in advance to all of you for writing him!

I read in my Guidepost magazine yesterday that it takes about 3 minutes to write and address a thank-you note...but that the POWER of it is AMAZING!!!

Well, Angie and I left her end of the year party so we could get home and "romance" ...better get upstairs before she forgets me

Have a great week-end everyone!

Gary, thanks for the address, i'm going to try and write him, if he'd share an address for some of those that never get mail, i'd be happy to send them a card or letter too. We have an organization here called Operation Minnesota Nice and I just got the name of my soldier, i haven't written him yet.

At work this a.m. and then on to my yarn cafe job, first time since i've been back from CA. I have a check waiting for me too! Cool! I want to start a new project but probably won't buy the yarn tonight.

No dates this weekend, no John.... That's OK.

Default GOOD Morning!

It's a lazy day around here today. Nothing much happening. I did clean my bathroom and have a bit more to do. I go for a hair appointment early this afternoon and then we're off to spend the night with my mom. We are taking her to an 80th BD party that she didn't want to go alone to. Then tomorrow we'll take her to church and then spend some time with her. She's doing great but the nights and weekends seem long to her.

The weather has been incredible here the last few days. That's after 21 days straight of some sort of rain during each day. It feels so great to have sunshine. My yard is starting to shape up and hopefully will look great for the wedding.

Gary: Glad to see you're still able to talk with us. I don't know what I'd do if I experienced an earthquake. Do you get used to them? Hopefully it wasn't strong enough to do any serious damage.

Michele: Great to hear you're doing well even if you have to go to work!! Have a great weekend.

Margie: Great to hear from you again! How are you doing?

Teel: A belated Happy Birthday to you! Have you recovered from all your celebrating? Hope it was a great time for you.

Well, better get the house cleaned and some packing done.

Have a great day!
