  • Hi leelilly:

Are you in the Hamilton Area? Were you aware of the potential of a meet & Greet in September for a group of us from the Horseshoe area?

I just joined this week and am really excited to have this forum in which to share my highs and lows and get help over the rough spots.

    Cheers,

  • Hi there CDNWEBGURL . . . . . . so glad you found us.

And a rousing GOOD MORNING to all the CRAZIES . . .

Weather in northern NS has turned too hot and too humid again -- but this is probably a good weekend to need to keep the windows closed and the A/c roaring anyway. It's the annual Blue Grass Music Festival at the fairgrounds across the road and 12 hours a day is a little more of that kind of music than I can honestly appreciate.

Other than that, nothing too exciting going on around here -- maybe a little shopping -- maybe a little sewing.

  • Gorgeous temperatures and sunshine right now -- but still a little too humid and (88%) and mid to upper 20s predicted for this afternoon.

Nothing exciting in my plans anyway. . . hope everybody else has a great moving and shaking kind of day . . .
  • Hi

Yesterday turned into a perfect summer day -- as temperature went up (to 27), humidity dropped (to well below 50%). Today -- it's raining.
  • Greetings All:

Well, today dawned cool and damp from the morning dew. I would like to thank once again the group for their generous welcome and comraderie. Having to lose a whole person ( 130 lbs) is daunting and I know I have to make lifestyle changes and recovering from major depressive episodes has complicated things.

I have found taking fish oil supplements with Omega 3 / EPA/ DHA a tremendous help in boosting energy levels although not nearly to the levels I had before I got sick but it is a work in progress. Baby steps are had to take when you are used to running but I know I need to take them otherwise I will stumble and could possibly stress myself out and get sick again. The last four years has been very difficult and I do not want a repeat ever in my life.

Thanks for the encouragement, it means alot.

    Cheers,

    Cdnwebgurl1

Well, if we're using that as a standard.... as someone who has lost a whole person, and still has another one to go - it can be done. If I had to give one piece of advice (hmmm... only one) it would be to make sure that you eat enough. It is not necessary to starve yourself to lose weight. Also, when you have a lot to lose it might even be counter productive.
  • Hi there . . . . . . time for a new start . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...76#post2342576 . . . see you over there.
