Nice to have a trip that you don't have to pay for! I'm up for the daily rededication, that's for sure. This week I'm rededicating myself to adding back some of the exercises I let slide over the past couple of weeks. I did well this weekend.Kimberley, I agree with Jen that walking a mile after the back surgery is great. It's a lot to deal with.
Aimee, that party sounds fantastic! I can say I've helped finance it, since I've bought tons of stuff from Amazon, heh heh. You know, it's hard not to hit the easy food when you're traveling and away from home, at least that kind of weight gain usually comes off fast.
I remember one time talking to a woman I used to work with at my first job in NYC. Her granddaughter was in highschool and I said, Oh yeah, that's a horrible time of life. She looked at me kind of offended and said, Oh no, my granddaughter is having a wonderful time! She's a cheerleader. All I could think was either I'm really out of touch with what goes on in high school, or this lady is. I leaned towards the latter conclusion. I'm not saying you can't have a good to great experience in high school, it just seems to me the odds tend to be against it because of the nature of the institution (raging hormones, teens trying to figure out themselves and the world, sheesh -- I know I was a rebel without a pause, ha).
You know the rain and cold makes me crave hot chocolate. I got this health newsletter than says to take a small piece of dark chocolate and melt it in non-fat milk in the microwave. Maybe another rededication for me will be to find more substitutes like that.
