  • Sadly, I read the Hodgkins Board and noted that Sarah has passed away. While I'm glad she's no longer in pain, I feel horrible for Lorraine and Sarah's friends who are understandably griefstricken.

    With many tears. . .
  • I'm just so saddened by this. I'm sending all of my most peaceful thoughts to Lorraine during this incredibly hard time.
  • Sending good thoughts & white light to Lorraine and Sarah.
  • I just got home and read this. I am so sad.
  • This is a sad day indeed. I will be praying for Lorraine in this very difficult time.

  • Thanks for the update...
  • Rest in Peace Sarah

  • My prayers to Sarah, Lorraine and their families.

It makes me think about the fact that we really don't know how we touch the lives of others and sometimes the little things can make a difference we will never know. I only "knew" Sarah from reading her posts here, but she really touched my heart.
  • May all find peace at this time of sadness.
  • I am so very, very sorry. Sending hugs and prayers to Sarah and Lorraine's families and friends.

  • I was saddened to read this. I am glad she is free of pain and no longer need to fight but she was an amazing woman.
  • What an incredible loss. May she have no more suffering.

My heart goes out to her family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
  • I've shed many tears over the last few days, knowing this was coming yet hoping so much that she would recover from the infection and have more time. But I know she's been miserable and I'm glad she's no longer suffering. Now it is our turn to suffer as we grieve. Lorraine and everyone who knew and loved Sarah is in my heart and prayers.
  • Her Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of her as gone away-
    her journey has just begun
    life holds many facets
    the Earth is only one

Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years

Think how she must be wishing
    that we could know today
    how nothing but our sadness
    can really pass away

And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost-
And she was loved so much.

    - Ellen Brenneman

I hope you don't mind, this is one of my favorite, comforting poems.

I didn't know her but her posts and spirt I find truly inspiring and amazing. Today the world has suffered a great loss.
