Just Starting...some ?s

  • Ok, I have looked everywhere for the answer to my question. My husband and I are doing this together(he wants to loose 15lbs. I want to loose 70...) We are following the menus from the book with the three meals and snack in between. I still seem to want more snacks-one cheese stick isn't enough, want more to nosh on at night. Is is ok to have more snacks then is in the standard menu as long as they are "approved" snacks? Or am I limited to just those three snacks(Late morning, late afternoon, and dessert) and only one cheese stick, one celery with cheese, etc...?

    Unless something is listedwith specific amounts in the list in the thread link provided, or in the book, there is no limit on the amount you eat for each snack or meal. Perhaps you are not eating enough during your meals, or perhaps part of it is also habit....a lot of us are night noshers... You might want to start out concentrating on eating whole healthy items, and then concentrate on portion control . A favorite Phase one filling treat for me is egg salad stuffed celery and roasted chickpeas... hope this helps
  • from another relative newbie. I'm doing SBD with my husband too. His cholesterol is high and I obviously need to too. I'm more motivated with him than I was with other plans recently and I feel more creative, less restricted.
