When I was on Atkins my urine had a strong smell, is this suppose to happen with the South Beach program? Or has anyone else noticed this?

Hmmm, no, are you getting enough carbs? Also, Asparagus and excess B6 supplements could be a cause... Watch your carb intake...If you are eating enough, you shouldn't go into ketosis, which may cause urine odor... Otherwise, you might want to get it checked as it could be an indicator of something else going on....

Thanks for the info I now know what it was, it was the asparagus. You learn somrthing new everyday
