Default HI! New, Advice for an Ovo/Lacto/Pesco?

Hi!
I thought this site looked totally awesome! Can't wait to get to know yall.
I'm on South Beach, but having trouble losing. I'm on my second week of Phase 1 and lost maybe 4 pounds give or take. Any ideas, suggestions on how I can modify my diet to help loose faster? Or is this normal for veggies on South Beach?

There were several of us that stayed strictly OP and only lost 4 pounds in all of Phase 1. Partly it depends on how much you have to lose as well as how healthy you were eating before you started South Beach. In my case I was on a diuretic at the time so I was not retaining water. It sounds like you are doing well. Many people do not lose as much as the book leads you to think you will lost.

We do have a couple people who post who are vegetarian so you may get some responses about that but I can help you there, sorry!

Hi, Angfea!

Make sure you are getting a lot of protein, but Barb is right...your loss is normal. You might want to PM Mauvaisroux...she is moderator of the Alternachicks forum and handles their Vegetarian recipe boards. She does a WW/SBD combo and might have some tips. Also, post in the main forum (Fat Chicks on the Beach) for help with SBD and being Vegetarian...there are a couple there that can help you.
