switching phases and passover
Hello all!
SO - Ive been doing phase 1 for about 4 weeks! Honestly, I like it... and twice in week 3 I went off for two birthday celebrations so I thought I'd extend my phase 1. Now Im thinking of getting some of the proper bread and fruit today...but here is my question. :?: I am going out of town for about 4 days during passover this weekend. During this time, I know it will be hard for me to stay true to the diet, especially on Passover evening when Im going to a big dinner and wont be able to control very well what is in the food Im eating. (thank goodness I HATE matzoh..but matzoh meal is a big ingrediant that Im sure will be in a lot of the food on Monday) My question is....do I not switch to Phase 2 for another week (to compensate for this coming weekend) or should I start reintroducing carbs this week so my body doesn't freak out when I end up eating the extra carbs etc? any advice is greatly appreciated! |
Yikes! Good question!
I think I'd stay on Phase I until you get there. Then chow down :D , and then get back on the wagon. Enjoy all those yummy carbs, Shasha! |
that is a good plan! Maybe I'll have to extend phase 1 an extra week depending on how the weekend goes! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to somehow hurt my weight loss by staying on this phase for longer to compensate.
don't get me wrong, I miss fruit like crazy... and sugar free frozen yogurt sounds soooo good! But, Im enjoying all the burgers, cheese and chicken I've been cooking. This is definately a good plan. It's funny... during my boyfriends b-day, we went off the diet and had wine and a cookie and some chocolate. but honestly, it didn't taste the same as before the diet. too sweet. It wasn't that hard to say no to another cookie. And the multiple glasses of wine I had definately made my body feel overly sweet...does that make sense? anyhow - just an interesting observation. |
