Question about snacks....

Hi all. I'm coming out of lurkdom because I have a question that I haven't seen posted already. What about evening snacks? From everything I've read on the internet, you get three meals and two snacks, but what about an after dinner snack? Are those allowed? Maybe I should have bought the book.....

Welcome to the Beach and congrats on getting out of Lurkdom! Please join us on the other thread and get to know us all better. Where are you from? Canada's a pretty big place!

I think it's up to you when you snack. Most folks find they don't want the snacks after a week or two. Buying the book is a good idea. I think it's about $35 bucks here in Canada but worth it, in my opinion.

$$ of SBD book

WOW! $35 in Canada? I paid $17 at Walmart, and online Barnes and Noble sells it for $15 and will do free shipping and handling if you order at least $25 worth of books/merchandise. The book is helpful, but a bit more brief than I had expected. I suppose I didn't realize the second half of the book was just recipes and sample menus. I did some research online on glycemic index and glycemic load and found additional details that helped me understand better. Good luck! Day 4 here, and already the cravings are dwindling. Karla

The after dinner "snack" is also reffered to as your treat of the day.

You get 3 meals, 2 snacks and 1 treat 75 cal or less. You can mix them up or whatever but everyone I know has the sugar craving the most in the evening.
