SBD with life Threatening food allergies?

Im new so forgive me if Im posting in the wrong spot:^:

I have life threatening allergies and Im wanting to start the SBD. I have diabetes and was told it would help improve my overal help and my weight.
My allergy is to all fish and seafood, so no tuna, fish, Scallops or anything from the water pretty much. Im trying to follow the book but Im a person who needs alot of direction and structure so what should I substitute for the fish or tuna? I may get sick of chicken if I use chicken non stop. any idea's? Thanks.

Ps. Im just starting so I need ideas for phase 1 :D

:welcome3: BabeKins! We're happy to have you joining us here on The Beach!

I'm glad that you are reading the book, but you don't have to follow the exact menus that are posted in there. They are suggestions or guidelines, and you can make your own substitutions from the approved food lists. As for your fish and seafood allergy, you don't have to eat fish at all on SBD. For your protein, you may choose from any protein on the Phase 1 list.
There are several threads stickied here in the FAQ section that you will find helpful and will answer many questions about Phase 1.

Come and join us on the Phase 1 beachers thread to properly introduce yourself, and please feel free to join in our daily chat, too. You'll find tons of friendly advice and encouragement to help you make SBD a success. We look forward to hearing from you!

:welcome2: Babekins! Great question. I, personally, dislike most fish and rarely eat it. I've had no problems with that on SBD.

As Cottage explained, you don't need to follow the menus exactly (I didn't). Just the spirit of them, while using the "Foods to Enjoy" and "Foods to Avoid" lists. Feel free to substitute any lean protein source for fish. Chicken is one option (along with other lean poultry), but you can also try lean pork (like tenderloin or boneless pork chops), lean beef, tofu, seitan, soy-based protein crumbles, etc. There are a lot of options. Just check the lists to make sure things are okay.

Hope that helps...please introduce yourself with a new thread in the main forum so everyone can welcome you!
