your fave freezer friendly recipes?
 

hey everyone!

i'm a big fan of making a batch of something and freezing it in portions, so i can grab a quick lunch or an "add on" to dinner. but i've run out of ideas and getting a little bored...was wondering what you all like to make and freeze?
lately, i've been freezing lentil soup, seasoned cooked black beans, and marinara sauce.
looking forward to hearing some yummy suggestions :)

Chili

I like to cook up and freeze browned turkey meat for taco salad or spaghetti sauce.

yes- i make a super simple marinara that i freeze in half cup containers. i put one in the fridge the night before if i need it the next day. its the perfect portion for a 2oz (uncooked) serving of pasta, or i use it for pizza on english muffins or on scrambled eggs, etc.
i've never frozen cooked meat before- does the texture change? do you let it thaw out before using it?
