need some recipe ideas
so, i know most of you probably have the same problem so i thought why not ask!
i work during "lunch / dinner" (around noon) and have little time to stop and eat a hot, cooked meal so i have to eat sometihng i've prepared the night before. i'm sick to death of sandwiches and tuna with pasta. so, does anyone have any foods i can eat at work that i can eat on the go or that doesn't need heating up!? |
i eat salads, sushi, letttuce wraps (sandwich wraps but in lettuce, not bread), veggie soup (you have to heat- but meh), gazpacho.... like any of those?

I made a batch of "fried rice" last night. It tastes good hot or cold!
I cooked up four servings of brown rice and sauteed up a whole bunch of veggies (zucchini, summer squash, carrots, celery, mushrooms, onions). Then I mixed it all up in a pan together and added 1/4 cup of egg substitute. As soon as it was done, I split it into four servings. I wasn't sure how it would taste today, but instead of heating it up, I poured it over a spinach salad I was having. It was REALLY good and filling, too! |
