Shooter (Bear)
 

My fur kid (that lives with us) is Shooter. She does have a nickname, Bear. LOL! She will come to either name or even a combination of the two. She is definitely my baby. She's a blue heeler and I got her as a pup at 7 weeks old. She was so tiny back then. Shooter will be turning 5 next month. My baby is growing up! She is a pretty active dog when she has something to do. Otherwise, she's perfectly fine lounging on her doggy bed. I always say she's the laziest high energy dog ever. During the winter, she has some weight issues. I found switching her to a higher quality food, limiting her intake, and making an effort to be more active really helps. She's kinda like me in that when she gets up in the morning or from laying in one position she's pretty stiff. She is all about the tennis ball so it doesn't take much to keep her active. She also gets to play farm dog a few times a month. She loves that and she gets plenty of running in when she's out there.

She sounds like a sweetie.

She really is. She has my three year old land on her or fall over her on a daily basis. Then, she will look at me like, "Mom make her stop. :(" She was raised with my older two kids since she was a puppy so she knows how kids are. I honestly couldn't ask for a better dog!! Now that I say that, she will do something to get into trouble today. :/

This is Shooter and her adopted brother, Ranger. He doesn't live at our house anymore. He moved to a farm about a mile and a half away and is much happier.
