The Greediest Dogs Ever

These are the two little greedy dogs that break into my fridge. Smart dogs, but too smart. One is especially greedy. He does anything for food and he recognizes the words "food" and "hungry" and "eat". After he licks his bowl clean he goes and licks my other dog's bowl clean.

If ANYONE goes near the kitchen my birds go nuts lol. If they are out of their cages they will fly on top of that person and when we eat THEY have to eat too- it's so funny. So I always have to see what I can give them from our dinners like rice of something and if they can't eat anything they get some cut up fruits/veggies. When someone is eating they have to be put away because they will NOT leave you alone if you have food.

Hmm I'm curious as to what you're trying to keep them out of the fridge.

It seems dogs are forever hungry.
Appetite enhancers are put in a lot of pet foods so that you spend more on pet food.
Then you end up with a really fat dog.
You might try making your own dog food and dog biscuits. There are lots of recipes in the internet.

Ours are total gluttons - and will dump the trash can over to eat whatever they can, so we have a baby gate blocking them from the kitchen.

I've made dog biscuits before and the dogs loved them! They also seem a lot healthier - and cheaper! - than some of the "treats" stores have. It's only 4 ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup rolled oats (not instant)
1/3 c creamy peanut butter
1 1/4 c hot water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix the flour and oats, set aside. Mix the peanut butter and hot water, then stir into the flour mixture until a semi-stiff dough is formed. Roll out onto a lightly floured surface and cut using a cookie cutter (or biscuit cutter). Place on a non-greased cookie shoot and cook for about 40 minutes, depending on your oven. Make sure they are completely cool before feeding to your dogs.

They're crumbly, but that doesn't matter - our dogs usually clean up after themselves :)
