My moose baby!
He's not actually a moose, funnily enough. I never looked in this thread before and now I have I thought I'd post a pic of my handsome cat, Monty! I never call him that though, it's always Moo, Moose or Moop. Apparently I only have this one "arty" photo of my handsome cat, but he is huge. He weighs 8.9kg/19pounds. GIANT CAT!!

What a cutie!
I have that same shot of my kitteh... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2322/...8cb1232c_z.jpg :) |
So my kitteh is officially on a diet with me. I just dont understand how she stays SO big on 1/3 cup of food a DAY.
I pre-measure the food each day, when it's empty, she's done. Sure wish someone could do that with me :dizzy: So a cup is 16 TBS, now she's down to 1/3 cup minus 1 TBS, so that's like 4.3 TBS of food a day! She lost a little bit, we can tell, but I bet she's still close to 20 pounds. I've started her on Kitteh Sprints! I put her food down in the front room, then I pick her up and she has to RUN all the way through the house to get to her food. http://icanhascheezburger.files.word...-wide-load.jpg http://icanhascheezburger.files.word.../23weighst.jpg |
I know, I've never had a cat that could 'free feed'. They'd all end up as big a houses...
My neighbor has one that weighs maybe 5 pounds... she always gasps when she sees my cat :) |
I've got her on Orijen, it says feed 1/2 cup a day for cats over 6 pounds. I'm feeding <1/3 cup and she's 20 pounds. She had bad potty problems until we got her off of the foods with grains.
I had a cat with diabetes, insulin shots and everything. I really want to avoid that again! I'll have to do a weigh-in on the girl and post updates. Maybe she can get her own ticker :) |
