boy names

What boy names "match" Hayden and Eli? I don't want rhyming names or even the same letter...but I just want a flow if you know what I mean. I don't want one kid named Rain and one kid named Walter. I'd like for them to mesh well.

Any ideas?

Mary

David. I just love the name David!

Ok, here is my 2 cents. I love love love the name Tegan and it is not something you hear often. I also love the name Leland. Congrats on the babies too!

I have an Allan and a Bradley. My SIL is Nathan and I've always liked Oliver and Nigel.

gagurl78 08-21-2006 12:58 PM

The name Evan is nice.

GoingGoal 08-21-2006 02:13 PM

How about Hayden, Eli and Zachary?

Stevi-rocks 08-22-2006 02:09 AM

My lil Logan was mili seconds from becoming an Xavier, but my bestfirend ruined it by making the statement "living in California he's going to be called Javier all the time." Thats not cool. I have a Zachary as well! I also wrestled around with Quentin. Call him Qwinn for short.

I don't know if I'm having a boy or girl yet but my favorite boy name is Nicholas

Hayden, Eli, and Nicholas........I think it sounds good!

Your names seem to be pretty common ones; both in the top 100. The Social Security's website for popular baby names can show you the top 100: 100 Most Popular Names for 2005. You might find something on there that you like. From that list I like Isaac, William, Robert (though its overwhelming popularity over the last 100 years has made it somewhat of a joke: witness the Almighty Bob in one of the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy books), Hunter, Lucas, Brian, & Cole.

I love the name Aiden, I also like Noah and Jonah. My son's name is Caleb.

I just had my baby in March but I named him Ashton Gabriel. I have a Jacob and a Zachary so I still got something biblical but I definately wanted something different at the same time. I caught a lot of heat from family members thinking I was naming him after Ashton Cutcher, however, that was not the case at all. I do get some reactions when I am out but I am finding it is either a name you absolutley love or one that you really dont! Good luck!!

Erinyes74 09-27-2006 09:44 PM

I like Luke, Neal, Owen and Morgan (but it's sooooooooooo popular for girls right now).

My husband likes none of those, so thank god we had a girl (Kayla Isabelle) or else it would have been a big tussle...

alinnell 09-28-2006 12:28 PM

I always wish I had named my son Aiden (it's James Nicklaus--James for my DH and Nicklaus for his favorite golfer). But Aiden is too much like your Hayden. How about Wyatt?

ThinWithin225 09-28-2006 01:08 PM

We have a very "ethnic" last name~McFarland. Therefore, I have a Sean Patrick and Rachel Kathleen.

Names

I kind of like Andrew Christopher, however my husband is adamant about the baby being a junior so if it's a boy the name will be Michael William. The girl name I have picked out my husband dislikes, it's Vivian Francine, which is named for my mother and his. I may have to rethink the girls name.

We broke a rule when we named our DS--the rule is to take the middle names of each grandfather and create a new name for the son. I just couldn't see having my DS go through life as Ralph Raymond!!! So, we named him James after my husband, but hadn't picked out a middle name, so after his birth we decided on Nicklaus after my husband's favorite golfer. Then, after we get home, my DH states "I don't want a James Jr in the house" so we've called him Nicky since then. No big problem, but he started middle school this year and the teachers practically refused to listen to him when he said his nickname was Nicky, so we call him Nicky but everyone at school knows him as James. (Hence why I wish we had named him Aiden James, besides it rhymes kind of like my DD's name Dana Jayne).

Hmmm.... How about Nash? Eli, Hayden and Nash. I like that, and Nash works for a kid and a grown man. They are all soft and flowing on the tongue and yet, they are all sturdy, manly names.

My son is Alec, and it's always worked well for him (he's 12). I think it will be a good adult name too. I think it means warrior, protector. He's very athletic, and sweet to his mom.:^:

Mary - you ever decide?

amyn 11-07-2006 06:31 PM

This thread keeps coming back up, so I guess it's a sign to put in my thoughts. Hayden and Eli were on my boy name list, so we must have similar name taste. I ended up naming my son Cooper. I love the name, it is different, but not too out there, and flows with your other names. I wanted his middle name to be Nash, but we gave him a family name. Good luck.

Raelynn 11-08-2006 06:22 PM

We're naming our son Erik, but I also like Nicholas, Aiden, Caden, Braeden, Jaxson, Shaun. We haven't been able to decide on a middle name lol.

olerito 11-08-2006 07:16 PM

I have a Xander, Trenton (called Trent) and Evan :) Good luck on deciding! Very exciting to have twins!

Mythology is where we got the name for our second child-our son, Raiden. DH called my tummy "Thor" during my pregnancy, in hopes that the masculine name would produce him a son. (Our first was a girl.) When we found out he was a boy just a few weeks before I delivered-I decided on Raiden, because of him being the Japanese "God of Thunder" whereas Thor is the Norse God Of Thunder. So, essentially, we did name him "Thor".

Our baby's first middle name, Phoenix, is because of the magical bird. It, and the second middle name, is in tribute to my deceased grandmother, Geneva Tyree. I like to imagine her as the Phoenix bursting into flames, and Saber as the baby rising from the ashes. :) It makes my heart happy.

CoolMom75 11-12-2006 01:30 PM

We're expecting our third boy, and we chose Simon. Our other two boys are Isaac Jason and Xander Bryce. :) I also like Monty.

Eta: bwahahahaha! This is my first time back to the forum in a long while and I see my ticker (it said 139)...ummm yeah, I'm up to 175 with this pregnancy, and only at the half way mark.

As I say, every time, this kid better be 70 pounds or I have some 'splanin' to do. LOL

andreavm 12-06-2006 10:04 PM

I'll throw in my 2 cents....my favorite boy names were Cade, Edward, Gavin, and William. I had a girl, though...Carys Elizabeth.
