Hi! My name is Carrie and I am 28. My first baby, a little girl, was born on September 6, 2005 and we are still nursing and going strong! The weight melted off at first but has stalled the last month or so. I hope to get to know you all better!

Hi Carrie! I know what you mean about the weight melting off - the first 40 came off no problem for me, but I'm working harder now to get rid of these last few pounds.

Thanks so much for the welcome!
Today my eating was out of control. Lorell is teething and cranky all the time and I stress eat majorly. I've got to get back in control tomorrow! |
Hi ladies! Just wanted to pop in and say hello to you girls! I am Cassie, 22 years old and proud momma of 2 children. Leslie is 4, and DeShawn is almost a year old (on Feb 21st), and DeShawn is still nursing. Just thought I would introduce myself since I just found this board, LOL!

Hi all of you nursing mamas,
I am working to get these pounds off...oh what joy it would be to be under 200 again...sooooo close yet so far away it seems some days. I have a teething 7 month old right now and stress eating has been an issue in the evenings for me. I am so thankful for my 3 times a week to get to the Y to work off stress. I am adding pilates dvds at home 2 times a week or maybe 3..haven't decided yet, LOL. I am wanting to see result! But, that is hard to wait for, ya know? When I started I could barely get in my 20's..busting at the seams but now I can easily fit into those and even some of my 16's and 2 pairs of my 14's, (but not others..I think it is how they are cut in the hips, LOL). I still have a LOT to lose but I am happy that I decided 2006 was my year to be a big loser. ;) |
Oh, nursing a teether is painful! Esther's almost four months old, which means the countdown for teeth is gonna start soon. Maybe I'll get lucky with her too; Linda cut her first tooth at about 8 months...

I will agree with ya. When my Rebekah sprouted her first 2 tiny teeth on the bottom she would bite..and I screamed. She went on a 2 day nursing strike.:( I haven't had any biting issues since then..I am hoping that she has connected my breasts with only nursing and not biting..especially since she has sprouted 4 teeth on top this past week or two..and working on more on the top. Youch.:^: |
Oh goodness, the four-teeth-at-once routine is simply nightmarish! Thankfully only my first one ever drew blood, but the way Esther clamps down now makes me scared for the future...
|
I'm a little freaked out about the idea of nursing a toothed-baby! Eeek! I'm just now getting past the sore, bleeding nipples and to a point where I'm not wanting to bite down on a leather belt to keep from screaming when he latches on (the pain would subside after about 20 seconds, but those first 20... yowza). Now I have TEETH to think about too??? LOL
|
I'm with you Heather! I saw two little light spots on her lower gum and cringed  I'm finally to where I can nurse pain free and now this. She's too young!! Well, if I can make through cracked nipples, I guess I can handle the teeth. lol
|
Well, Esther already clamps down on me pretty hard sometimes. Seems as if she has this game where she's trying to see just how far she can stretch my nipple! I'm skeered of her getting teeth. She's gonna draw blood, I know she is.
