When did you show??

Well, in the midst of trying to lose my weight so that I could get pg, I got pg! :D

Just wondering, I am 5'4", about 225 pounds and wanting to know for those who are about the same weight/height, when did you start showing with your first?? I am currently 11 1/2 weeks.

I'm not sure if you want input from people with a different build, but with my first (6 feet tall, around 215 when I got pregnant) I had a little "bump" pretty fast but it didn't look like a definite pregnant belly until closer to 16 weeks or so. With my second (235 when I got pregnant) I showed pretty much as soon as I took the test. But my kids are less than 18 months apart, so my body hadn't even fully recovered from #1 when I got pregnant with #2. I showed early, I have a friend who didn't show at all until she was almost 6 months and she was much thinner during pregnancy than I was. It just depends on so much. You'll have a glorious, beautiful baby belly though. Everybody does sooner or later :).

I was still wearing street clothes the day I had my first. ;) I never show to strangers. People see what they expect to see, and when they look at me they expect to see a fat woman, not a pregnant one. To myself & my husband, I was obviously pregnant at 11 weeks with my first, about 13 with my second, but with this one it wasn't really obvious to me until I was 18 weeks. So it's very variable, even with the same person. I *never* get the cute little pregnant belly.

I'm 5'10" and started my first pg at 248. I started wearing materity clothes around 16 wks., but wasn't obviously PG to most people until later. Things weren't too much different with #2.

When I got pregnant I was at 174 and showed at 11 weeks (that I noticed) I started showing "publicly" about 18 weeks or so. Now, there's no question (Im 29 weeks now..) Good luck to you. Welcome!!
