going no where fast!

I haven't been on here for I think a few weeks. I've gain 4 lbs. I am completly not watching what I am eating. I will admit - I've put myself last on the list. Having a second child, a newborn, with colic is stress full. The one good part in all of this is that I'm still nursing (I think I'm way past the hump!! :D ) Elijah has a real senstive tummy - I'm down to 1 soda a day.. some days none. I was drinking up towards 3 a day (reg soda!!) just to help with my stress. But that wasn't helping poor Eli. The kid wasn't pooping!
Some days are good with him but others I actually ask myself what made me think I could handle 2 children? Right now it's 4 am - this was Eli's first feeding.. one feeding a night... I can handle that.

Thanks for letting me ramble.
Are things ever going to be normal again - where I can kind of diet? am I ever going to want to?

Eh, you're not doing too bad. I had months after my second kid where I just did not give a darn about dieting. :) I think it's normal. Congratulations on continuing to nurse! It gets easier as it goes along, I promise.

I am trying to lose 5 pounds a week and I have been stuck for 2 weeks. I guess I was kind of hoping it would just drop off, but I'm not that lucky. Nursing is going well and I got the OK from the doctor to start exercising again. Time to get going. I think I will start South Beach soon. It is tough to fit a diet and exercise in with a newborn.

I think I will cut myself some slack.. and make this a slow process coming back. This week my daughter has been very sick and I've had construction guys taking down part of my house. Add a newborn into the mix and a diet falls to the side. I am buying some good choices (ie. salad in a bag, strawberries etc) But this is going to be a journey back. I am steady with my weight - I think the nursing must be helping. I feel like we have turned the corner with nursing - it's natural now. Eli does like a bottle, however, about every other day. Don't know why - but that's okay. At least I know I could hire a sitter if we wanted to :)

Hah, count yourself lucky if you can get him to take a bottle. I tried and failed with both of my girls. We had ourselves quite a collection there for a while after I had Linda, trying to find something she wouldn't spit out and act like I was trying to poison her. I distinctly remember standing in Babies R Us looking at this huge display of bottle nipples going "Hmm, which of these looks like my nipple?"

I've done that, too! Turns out they don't make saggy flat nipples for bottles :dizzy:
