Well it's been awhile since I posted- wasn't very motivated to the last couple weeks of my pregnancy. Our sweet baby is here- and surprise, he's all boy!!! 5 ultrasounds later, 3 of them 3D/4D, they all said girl. Anyways he's gorgeous and we love him! After 18 hours of labor I had a truly emergency c-section after his heart rate was decelling dramatically during contractions, it turned out he was brow presentation and had the cord around his neck. So even at 9cm, he was still at -1 station, there was just no way he was coming out that way!
After being home a few days I went back to the ER last Tuesday for chest pain and was admitted for pneumonia and pleurisy!!! I stayed till Saturday even though the doc wanted me to stay at least through Sunday. I had to get home though, I missed my older son sooo much! I am very much still recovering, and though the fluid is still there it's at least not getting worse and hopefully will go away over the next several weeks.
So now the weight, especially IV weight, is coming off. Here's the last 2 weeks in numbers:
Pre-preg weight: 235
4/1: 39 weeks preg & 243 pounds
4/11: day of induction, walked in at 247. Counting that last 4 pounds of gain as water weight since I finally swelled up and spent the whole week throwing up.
4/15: Discharged from hospital, 250!! Stupid meds and IV fluids
4/19: Admitted to hospital 241
4/22: Walking halls of hossy 242
4/23: Discharged 236!!
4/24: Home, 233
4/25: Home, 228
4/26: Home, 223
4/29: Home, 221
So I'm very glad it's finally coming off. There's no way I did anything but lose the last 2.5 weeks, I've been so sick. Just wanted to share my post-section, post-pneumonia and pleurisy weight loss with you guys. I didn't realize retaining that much fluid was normal, but after I came home from my section I was sooo swollen!!!
We still have people bringing us food through next week, so I'm planning on just "going with it" until after next week. Then the plan is to try and eliminate the "white" processed foods from my diet as much as possible. I am not pushing working out because I still can't walk on a flat surface without getting winded after 5 minutes, but I plan on returning by 6 weeks post-partum still.
A bad case of pneumonia was not my plan... but I'll go with it and make the best of the situation anyway!

Congratulations on your new little guy! What's his name?
