First Trimester Weight Gain?

I'm trying to figure out how much weight is a healthy amount to gain during your first trimester? I've tried to research, and I've gotten anywhere from 1 lb to 5 lbs. Does anyone know? I'm also trying to scale what's acceptable for trimester 2 and 3 etc so the weight gain doesn't get out of control! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!:?:

At your weight? 5-10 pounds a trimester is a good range, setting your gain at anywhere from 15-30 pounds for the pregnancy. Less is better, unless you are nutritionally deficient, but if you are eating a healthy, well balanced diet and doing light exercise whatever you gain is fine.

Many heavier women (like me!) actually lose weight during pregnancy, and that is healthy too, provided we are eating well. Anywhere from 2000-2400 calories a day is a good starting point for pregnancy eating, with an emphasis on quality protein (you need lots of protein to build a baby!).
