Maternity clothes ?

We know this will be our last child. Every single piece of maternity clothing I have is for the Summer time. This is the first time I'm pregnant during the winter time and all my maternity wear is in our storage room.....its been either snowing or raining for the past few weeks.
I finally got to the point that I no longer felt comfortable in my regular pants so I went out to the thrift store and bought some skirts and a couple that were XL that I could slip over my belly (later on) and hopefully not have to buy more clothes. I also bought a couple pairs of sweat pants to get me through this cold weather. I just didn't want to go all out and spend money on stuff I don't plan to wear ever again.
What are y'all doing, any cheap ideas to get through this period?

Do you have a bella band? You can buy them at Target for $16.00 or you could even make one from an old t-shirt (this is what I plan on doing.)

Here are directions:

You can use it to hold up your unbuttoned and unzipped pants. I have several friends who were able to wear their pre-pregnancy pants through the whole pregnancy with the bands. I plan on making several to get me through until I can find inexpensive maternity options.

oh what an awesome idea. thx! :)

I can't get my bella band to stay up pp!!

I was lucky enough to leave my MW house lighter than my pre-preg weight so my pre-preg clothes fit rather soon afterwards. With DS1 I just wore my maternity clothes still until my old clothes fit

as for during pregnancy clothes (I read the OP wrong haha) 2nd hand stores, co-ops, and sales racks are how I survived...along with stealing DH's sweats and oversized tshirts

Old Navy routinely has great clearance on their maternity stuff. I got a pair of pants for $7 and a couple shirts for $6/ea. Not too bad. Certainly not as painful as the $45 I shelled out last time around for a pair of jeans at Motherhood!

yup, that was my experience with my last pregnant. Dh told me I could buy whatever I wanted from Motherhood for my baby shower but that $40.00+ dress was painful to buy.
I'll look into Old Navy though for tops. :)

What size are you looking for?

I'm in my 4th month now. I'm between medium and large now, in regular clothes.

I can look through what I've got if you want. Once I find the pile of maternity clothes I set aside to giveaway/sell anyways. This is what happens when I decide to clear out stuff it ends up in stacks in our bedroom lol
