I feel so horrible!
Im about 5 weeks pregnant i just found out i have a Stomach infection and gallstones .I am in soo much pain . Has anyone had similar situations?
|
I developed gall stones when I was pregnant with my first son. It was not until about 24 weeks though. They told me there was nothing they could do until he was born. I had my gall bladder removed when he was 2 weeks old.
I know that I have heard of women who are not very far along being able to have theirs removed before the uterus grows to much and gets in the way. What does your doctor say? My only advice would be to stay away from fatty foods. The fattier the foods the worse the "attack" I would have after eating it. Otherwise I just had to stick it out. There was honestly nothing that really helped except for avoiding fatty foods and even then that didn't always work. Good luck and if you have any other questions just let me know. |
I dont eat fatty foods at all! But ive had the gallstones way before i was pregnant they just knew now about them , my doctor is referring me to a surgeon hopefully he'll have them removed before the baby gets bigger.

Ouch! I hope you can get a referral to the surgeon soon!
(OT, but are you on MDC? Someone in the June DDC there just found out about gallstones too, wondering if it was you. ;) ) |
Nope im not on MDC lol
Im still having these horrible attacks and i meet a surgeon on the 30th im hoping i can get it out without any complications |
Not eating fatty foods is sometimes what causes the stones to form... basically your body isn't using what's stored there... then when you do eat something fatty it kicks up the stones and they get stuck.
I had them when I was done a VLC diet of 1000/day very low fat about 8 years ago. Not fun! |
