Hi all! I'm new to this thread and thought that I would say a little bit about myself. I just got married on Nov 1, but we have been ttc since last June. However we found out in Jan that I have PCOS. I need to lose weight to be healthy, but also to help get my PCOS under control so I can have a bun in the oven soon.

Wow, Liz, I remember when we both posted here long ago! What a cute little guy you have! I'm just stopping in to say hello, since I'm working on weight loss again and I used this thread a lot before. I'm not TTC anytime soon, as I have 8 month old triplets now!

Good luck, everyone!

Peaceful - Hi!! I remember you too. Wow, 8 month old triplets!! How in the heck do you have time for anything?? ;) Congratulations!

Morning ladies...

Gale - your little man is so handsome! Johnathon has red hair too and I just love it. We are really hoping that he keeps it. I will try and get a pic on here of him. We are all doing really well except for this baby weight that keeps hanging on, lol. I too have days where I want another baby right now too. Part of me thinks why not just pop all of them out I want and then worry about the weight, but I know that I need to be healthy for each pregnancy.

Newlywed - welcome and congrats on getting married.

peaceful - 8/mo old triplets. Bless your heart woman! My baby and my sisters are 6 weeks apart and I watched them both one day. I was pulling my hair out by noon. I bet you sure are keeping busy. And you want more...maybe another set of triplets...

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Thanks everyone for the welcome! Did anyone who has conceived used metformin? If so, how long did it take for you?

sept15lija 05-05-2009 08:08 AM

Stephanie - I haven't tried metformin - it was mentioned to me by my doc but I never went on it, ended up just doing clomid for 3 cycles, then femara for 2 cycles, the second of which I conceived DS on. Hopefully someone else has more information for you!

Well I'm on day 31 of my cycle, lately my cycles have been 32-33 days, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. But of course I'm hoping and obsessing anyways. ;)

can I join ladies? Nice to meet everyone. We have been ttcing 3 years with unexplained infertility. I was on the weight loss wagon till Feb then I started feeding my emotions because of loosing the ttc journey. I jumped on the scale today and now I feel very horrible I let myself gain 25 pounds. So I am definatly looking foward to getting to know you ladies as well as make myself healthy again and not pitty myself. Oh also twoweekwait is a really great place for support for anyone ttcing

sept15lija 05-06-2009 02:39 PM

Welcome downtomygoal!! Good for you for getting back on the weight loss wagon! It sucks to have gained back 25lbs but hey it could have been even worse, right? Nice to have you!

Gale02 05-06-2009 06:31 PM

Welcome downtomygoal!

I also gained almost 25 lbs when DH and I decided to ttc. I figured "Ah, I'm going to gain weight anyway when I'm pg, why bother?" So I ate and ate and ate. Now I'm trying to lose that weight in addition to my pg weight, it's no fun! Good for you for realizing and stopping the trend, that's going to be great for you later.

Good luck!
:) Gale

Hi everyone, I would love to jump in! DH and I are going to start ttc in August so I really want to get my weight down. I actually lost all of my baby weight the first time and then I started to put on the extra 40lbs when DD was six months old. The stress of new mommy and going back to work was really hard on me. I have started working out again and counting calories. So I have about 4 months and I really need the motivation.

sept15lija 05-08-2009 08:41 AM

dollypie - Welcome!! I remember you from before, congratulations on your DD!

Well I am waiting...I am on day 34 of my cycle right now, in the past while my cycles have been 31-32 days, although I did have one 36 day one six months ago or so. So I've decided to at least wait until tomorrow to test. I am such a wimp about testing - I can't stand it!

dollypie 05-08-2009 08:47 AM

Thanks Liz, I plan on making it to the gym tonight for a long workout...that is if I can make it through work and not be totally exhausted.
