Calorie Cycling while BFing?

I'm not longer exclusively BFing, Mr. Fuzzyhead eats solids 2x a day in addition to nursing. I'm wondering if calorie cycling might help the weight move a little more quickly, because I'm staying within the LLL's guidelines, but the weight isn't moving much. With calorie cycling I would still have the same weekly average, but I would have a couple really low days. Is that OK to do?

Hmmm.... well it's been a couple of days and my weight is moving again so I guess the calorie cycling is working. I haven't noticed any changes in my milk supply, so I guess I will continue doing it. Thanks for looking! :)

I don't know about calorie cycling. I'm guessing you set a limit for the week and divide as you see fit over the 7 days?

I'm bfing my 7 month old and I am not getting very far with my weight loss. Maybe I should try this.

Could you explain to me what calorie cycling is? I heard of it but do not know much about it.

Calorie cycling is basically what Laine said, and here is a link that describes it rather well.

I must admit, I haven't done this consistently, other than having big weekends and lower weekdays. I think it's working, but I'm not sure, as my kiddo is starting solids and I'm still figuring out what my new calorie level should be.
I would love to hear your results from it!

I was always worried about supply.

I stopped exclusively BF when my son was around 6-8 months (very gradually).

Just recently (he is nearly 2) I went on a "fat fast" and when he went to nurse to sleep, he could not "get" anything (any milk). You will DEFINITELY know when your supply has dwindled. It's not a feeling I'd had before, even when I suspected my supply was low. This time was different -- I just KNEW.
