Thinking...
DH and I have been talking about it... our biological clocks are ticking - I want to have one more child before I turn 30. I'm 27 now, but will be turning 28 in April. DH is 40 now (his birthday is 2 days after mine).
We are still excited about going to Hawaii in August and we're thinking of getting :preg: in Hawaii... if we don't have to share a room with in laws of course. I've been on BC since son was born (6 years now). Has anyone had problems with conceving after they stopped BC? I'm trying to decide if I should stop a couple of months before that or a few weeks before. I know everyone is different - doctor has told me that I could get pregnant within a couple of weeks of stopping, or a couple of years - just depends on my own body chemistry. What has been your own experience? |
I went on Desogen when we first got married and went off it about a year later, intending to get pregnant. It took us three months. My cycles have been different ever since and I won't go back to hormonal birth control. We use Fertility Awareness Method now. There's a great book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility that you can use to learn when you're ovulating to either get pregnant or avoid getting pregnant, and it may help you to know when you'd be fertile.
Good luck! Kara P.S. My next youngest sister's birthday is the 26th of April, too! She's exactly a year older than you! |
